It is less than 10 miles from the Bitterroot River. When you book with us for short—or long-term stays, utility costs like electricity, garbage, and Wi-Fi are all included. The space Our Cottage is located on a farm over 100 years old, overlooking the town of Hamilton. Some of the lands are still actively used for farming. The cottage is also located in our small orchard, where guests can enjoy pears, plums, and cherries when they are in season. You can enjoy 360-degree views from this location, with the kitchen window looking out to the Bitterroot Mountains and the living room window looking over the Sapphire Mountain range. In the spring and summer, you can walk in the surrounding gardens. If you would like a tour of our gardens or workshops, let us know, and we will be happy to show you around. This Cottage has a private driveway for our guests and a front entrance with a digital keypad on the door for self-check-in. The private yard next to the cottage has a fire pit equipped with firewood, a barbecue, and chairs. During the day, you can enjoy the clouds rolling by, and at night, you can enjoy the stars. Behind the cottage, there is a hot tub with spectacular views. The deck in front of the cottage overlooks the Saphire Moutain range. It is a great place to watch the sunrise and enjoy coffee or tea. We keep this house ultra clean. Bill and I steam-clean the floors between each stay and sanitize all surfaces. We are proud of our sparkling cleaning rating. The kitchen has dishes, silverware, and utensils; it has an electric stove/oven, full-size refrigerator, instant pot, microwave, coffee maker, espresso machine, coffee grinder, toaster, cookbooks, and supplies in the pantry. It is tiled with an Italian ceramic backsplash. We have our hand-blown glass drawer pulls (blown by Bill in our blown glass studio) on the cabinetry and a touch of our art throughout the Cottage. When building this Cottage, we had fun adding our artwork to it. Just off the kitchen is a washer and dryer with complimentary handcrafted, natural laundry soap. The bedroom is warm and inviting, with a comfortable queen-sized bed, latté colored walls, espresso lamps, and chocolate blackout curtains. Along with the 40" smart TV, it has an antique rosewood writing desk equipped with writing paper, Sage Cottage postcards, coloring pages for the young and young at heart, and colored pencils. The living room has a futon that folds into a queen-size bed for extra guests. The dining room table has tall chairs so you can see the windows better and enjoy the views. A smart TV on the wall between the living room and kitchen swivels to be watched from either the living room or the kitchen. The full-size bath comes with complimentary soaps and shampoos. It includes an inviting tub with pebbled beach tile on the floor and Tuscan-type tiles on the walls. A linen closet in the bath supplies extra towels and linens. Our hand-blown glass drawer pulls on the cabinetry and adds to the artistic elegance. When we designed this house, we added Wi-Fi connected to two flat screens and smart TVs so guests could watch complimentary Netflix and network channels. The house also has a wireless soundbar to stream music through handheld devices or laptops. Our home is nearby, and we love meeting guests but respecting their privacy. We hope your stay at our little house is comfortable and enjoyable. Guest access This lovely little Cottage has a large, private driveway. The door entering the cottage has a keypad lock for easy access. Guests are welcome to walk the gardens and enjoy this quiet sanctuary. Over 48 species of birds have been found in our garden, and I have placed welcome benches for guests to sit and watch the birds or clouds roll over the Bitterroot Mountains. Feel free to bring a yoga mat and enjoy the tranquility. The Cottage is located in our small orchard, and in the summer and late fall, guests can enjoy the fruits from our orchard when they are in season. Other things to note We love short and long-term guests. All utility costs like electricity, garbage, and wifi are included when you book with us, with no extra fees.
