This includes new flooring, new granite countertops, freshly sanded hardwood floors and professionally painted downstairs. The bathrooms have been updated as well, with new fixtures, mirror, toilets and paint. My house is ALWAYS being updated and restored; I always put the profits from bookings back into the house. The decor is vintage/farmhouse with lots of special touches throughout. I want to make you and your family feel at home and cozy all throughout your stay. This house reflects vintage charm but with modern updates: high speed internet, new large flat screen tv, Alexa speaker, smart TVs in bedrooms and smart nest thermostat. A propane grill has been added too! **Please note: This house was built in 1923, and because it is an older residence, it can take awhile to warm up in the cooler months. Due to the beautiful hardwood floor, the floors creak and you will hear individuals walking around upstairs. Even with the remodel, we have tried to capture a good balance between vintage and new. Is it perfect like a hotel? Nope! This house is on the older side, so consider that before booking. The entire house and property is yours to use. This residence is used only for Air bnb. 24 hour/keyless-no contact entry. I do not live on the property, but close by. I'm available 24/7 through email or text. My brother, and other owner, lives in town and is just minutes away if you have an emergency. Check in is with a keyless entry; no contact and no chit-chat. Check in any time you want! Small quiet neighborhood located near main street and not far from highway access. House is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bank and library. Houses are close together and kids bike and play in road. There can be a lot of kids playing and riding bikes in warmer months. Very little traffic, only neighbors living in area pass through. Please be considerate of neighbors at all times. **House is 7-10 minutes off of highway/Sturbridge exit (mainly lights and traffic). It’s not far, but house is NOT right off of Sturbridge exit. This house has its own private driveway with parking. One half of drive-way is covered by a car port. Access to side door is covered. Parking: driveway will fit 2 cars. There is street parking. If you have more than 2 cars, I ask you to maintain distance from other neighbors parking on street, so there is easy flow of traffic. Please be considerate of neighbor’s driveway, as it is close to ours when backing out. Children, bike riders and frequent dog-walkers frequent this neighborhood. Please watch out for these when driving through. In the warmer months, the house has air-conditioning units in each room. Units will not be turned on the morning of arrival, so house will be on the warmer side. Adjust temperature to your liking. There is not central air. In the colder months, the house will be set at 63 for when you check in at 3pm. It is the guest’s responsibility to message me and let me know if guest would like house warmer due to a later check in. Otherwise, house will be 63 at guests’s time of check in.
