Located in the heart of Uptown New Orleans near Tulane and Loyola Campuses, this home is perfectly located for Mardi Gras, Jazz fest, Voodoo Fest, BUKU, and all of the French Quarter festivals and events. The famous Magazine Street shopping corridor - renowned for its antiques, art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants - is only a short walk away, and we provide detailed dining & entertainment recommendations. We are one block from a public clay-court tennis facility with nine courts available for use, and there are three playgrounds within a mile of the house. You can walk to restaurants, shopping, churches, synagogues, groceries, and the best wine and liquor shop in the city. The brand-new kitchen has granite counters, travertine floors, and stainless appliances. It is fully equipped with a gourmet coffee and tea station featuring electric drip and french press coffee makers, a Delonghi espresso/cappuchino machine, local fresh-ground coffee, and Harney & Sons teas. We supply all the tools and cooking supplies you need to put together great New Orleans cuisine. Relax with a candle-lit cocktail area on the porch, cook a great meal, watch HBO and all the sports channels, or grill a steak on the Big Green Egg! There are two newly renovated Carrera marble bathrooms - one with a huge standing shower and one with a shower/soaking tub combination. Salon-brand hair products, blow dryers, and hotel quality towels make your stay a retreat-worthy experience. The first bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has 2 full beds. Custom linens, new mattresses, and lots of pillows provide a restful night's sleep. A deluxe blow-up mattress, pack-n-play, and high chair are also available. There are custom closets in both bedrooms and a full sized washer and dryer. Central air and heat let you keep the temperature exactly the way you like it. This property is fully fenced for privacy and security. You will have the use of the entire 1,500 square foot apartment, including a front porch cocktail area and a Big Green Egg charcoal grill and smoker. Never used a Big Green Egg? We'll show you how! Located in the historic Delachaise neighborhood, and with a 7-foot gated & fenced yard, this home is ideal for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, and other festivals and events. You can hop a streetcar to the French Quarter; or walk to live music, restaurants, bars, groceries, and parks. There is a public clay-court tennis facility a block away, and you are two blocks from the best wine cellar in the city. Dog-walkers and families abound, and neighbors still sit on their porches and visit in the evenings. Parking is available in the street.
