The space Homes with beautiful gardens and trees decorate this area known as "Old Metairie". It is today, the most prestigious area of Metairie and a safe place for walking and yet with easy access to the French Quarter, NO fine dining, museums, NO Airport, etc. Guest access Metairie shopping center, restaurants and supermarkets (Whole Foods, Rouse's) are within 2 miles. NO Airport is 8.7 miles/10 min. drive French Quarter/NO downtown is only 7 miles/15 min. drive. Neighborhood shopping, restaurants, Canseco's market, Walgreens on Metairie Road about one mile. Other things to note My home is close to the Interstate; however, the walls are well insulated with foam and the windows are double insulated. This helps to stop the outside noise.
