No contact check-in & private entrance. Near parks, hiking trails, river swimming, river rafting & zip lines, Bridge of Flowers & Glacial Potholes. The space The Kiva Suite at Meadow & Fern occupies the entire, 1,000 square foot, lower level of the house with a secure private entrance, twelve-foot ceilings with three seven-foot fixed pane windows, sliding glass door, glass entry door, direct access to the north lawn, and ample parking adjacent to the entrance. Comfy radiant heated floors will keep you toasty in the winter and the air conditioned,earth-sheltered north orientation will keep you cool in the summer. Large open floor plan with living room area, television, and dining area. Adjacent to the living space is a Queen bed sleeping alcove, new mattress, comforter & linens. There is an additional private bedroom with a double futon couch/bed and 2 single-stacked mattresses for use as needed. There is a private bath and shower. The queen bed sleeping alcove has privacy screens that can be adjusted as desired. If you require complete privacy from your fellow occupants, this may not be your best choice. However, it's a great place for families and close friends. The Kiva Suite does NOT have a kitchen. It DOES have a microwave, toaster, mini-fridge, and coffee maker with filters located in the living area. No kitchen, no worries, the Village of Shelburne Falls is just minutes away with lots of wonderful eateries and markets. Included are all paper products, bedding, towels, extra sheets & pillows for additional bedding (couches/matters). The Kiva Suite is NOT childproof The daily rate is for 4 guests, including children. One small (under 40 lbs) dog is allowed at an additional cost of $50. Dogs MUST BE APPROVED by the host before booking. Guest access Guests are encouraged to enjoy the grounds of Meadow & Fern. Explore the gardens and relax on the North Lawn with private seating areas with a view. You can access the Audubon Society Wildlife Sanctuary & High Ledges, directly from the grounds. Walk down the driveway to the convergence of the North and Deerfield Rivers for swimming and sunning on large smooth rocks or plant your toes in soft river sand on 'Sunburn Beach". Just a short walk (1/4 mile) will bring you to the Catamount State Forest (North View from your suite) which hiking, freshwater pond swimming, and the remains of an early colonial settlement. Walk, bike, or drive the mile to the historic Village of Shelburne with lots of eateries, fun shopping, and gallery hopping, The Bridge of Flowers, ancient Glacial Potholes, and the stunning Deerfield River are all in the center of town. Stop my place downtown with two wonderful businesses (Baked, Bakery & cafe & Enjoy, a stylish boutique), located on the little street called Deerfield Avenue on your way to the Potholes overlook. There is a Yoga studio in town (Shelburne Falls Yoga) and lots of cute little streets and businesses to explore. Easy and beautiful drives to MassMoca, The Clark Museum, Mount Snow, Northampton downtown, and 'The Five Colleges', UMass, Amherst, Smith, Hampshire, and Mt. Holyoke. Even closer are private schools, Stonleigh- Burnham, Eglebrook, Deerfield Academy, and Northfield Mt. Herman. There is so much more.
