Your oasis to relax, quite street, private back yard with large deck, gas grill, outdoor shower, breezeway and front deck. About a 5 minute walk to two ocean beaches on Nantucket Sound. Enjoy your morning coffee on a park bench as the sun rises over the ocean. Walking distance via sidewalk to beaches, seafood restaurant, Bass River beach pier and Joshua Baker windmill. Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals from late June to early Sept. The children like the upstairs because they have their own big bedroom plus a TV room and bathroom. We do our best to meet every guest at the house when they arrive and when they leave. Please provide us a 4 digit code that you would like to use to unlock the key pad lock to the door of our rental. I try to meet my guests when they arrive so that I can give them a tour of the house and answer any questions. About a 5 minute walk to South Middle Beach and Parker’s River beach. When you arrive there is a stretch of beach over a mile that you can walk on. Both beaches have lifeguards during the season and restrooms. Parker’s River has an outside shower, bike rack, concession stand, swings and gazebo. South Middle Beach has a free car turn around to drop off and pick up. Bass River beach, ½ mile from rental property, has a boat ramp, fishing deck, bath house, outside shower, bike rack and concession stand. Walk to Skippers restaurant with ocean view. About 1 mile to Dairy Queen, Bass River Sports world, Papa Ginos, Stop & Shop, Rte 28 diner and mini golf. Pirates Museum is 1.5 miles. Dunkin Donuts, MacDonald’s, Shaws supermarket, Ocean State Job Lot, Red box, Post Office, Walgreens, restaurants Chinese and seafood, and Our Lady of the Highway Catholic church is about 2.5 miles. Bass River golf course is 3 miles. Hyannis (5 miles): shops, restaurants, ferry to islands, whale watching, Melody Tent and Cape Cod Mall. Yarmouth Seaside Festival Mid October: craft fair, parade, fireworks, bonfire at beach, road race, sand sculpture. There is a side walk along the 5 public beaches, Windmill beach and the bakery. Many people ride bikes around the neighborhood. We are about 4 miles from the Cape Cod Rail Trail (bike path). There is plenty of local shopping. At D-Y High School you can watch the Y-D Baseball Team (Cape Cod Baseball League) when they play. Bass River's farmer's market every Thursday starting 6/15-9/7 9:00-1:30 and Saturday 6/17-9/9 9-1:30 across from Yarmouth Library 2.4 miles away. Public Tennis courts near D-Y High School. Just Some of the Things to do at The Cape! Within Walking Distance • Walk over a mile long beach coastline, Smugglers Beach/Bass River inlet to Parkers River inlet which includes 5 different public beaches! • Parkers River Beach sit on the benches and see the sunrise over the ocean. • Smugglers beach has a pier where you can walk, fish or catch crabs. • Take a walk to Caffe Gelato Bertini. • Want a small secluded beach with some historic charm? Walk along south shore drive past Smugglers Beach to River street. On scenic River street walk along Bass River to Windmill beach where you can sit on the park benches watching the boats. During the summer they have free guided tours of the windmill. From Windmill you can go down Willow Street take a right on South Shore and stop in Caffe Gelato Bertini. • A seven minute walk to the Skippers, a restaurant overlooking the ocean as well as the winner of several local food awards including best clam chowder. Within Driving Distance • For biking and walking there is the Cape Cod Trail Rail that takes you all along scenic Cape Cod. Few miles from the rental is the Yarmouth entrance and parking for the Trial Rail. • A few miles away is two mini golf locations including Pirates Cove which offers two different 18 hole courses to choose from and Bass River Sports World which includes: mini golf, batting cage, driving range, and many other activities! • If you like a good baseball game you can watch Yarmouth Red Sox play in the Cape Cod Baseball league for free, at Dennis Yarmouth High School during the summer. • Many local art and culture venues including: the JFK museum, a cultural center in Yarmouth MA, and many local antique and farmers markets in Hyannis MA • If you are a potato chip fan, visit Cape Cod Potato Chip factory, where you can see they make their chips. • For any beer lovers, Cape Cod has several breweries including: cisco breweries (home of the whales tale pale ale in Nantucket), cape cod beer (which has a great blonde stout) as well as many more in Dennis and Hyannis MA. • For any shoppers, main street Chatham and Hyannis have great local brands such as the black dog and vineyard vines as well as other fantastic niche stores to shop from! Also visit Mashpee Commons. • Cape Cod is also home to some desserts: some notable spots include Sundae School, Cape Cod Creamery, Chatham Country store (try their whoopee pies), and the Centerville Pie Company! • Multiple ice cream shops with a few miles of the rental. • Cape Cod has some of the best golf course in Massachusetts including: Bass River Golf Course, Cranberry Valley Golf Course, The Captains Golf Course. If you are feeling adventurous you can visit Cape Cod’s oldest golf course Highland Links for 9 holes. • Pick up a quart of Captain Parkers Chowder and steam lobsters (order in advance) at Shaws or Stop & Shop. Day Trips • If you are a feeling like a day trip, take a ferry trip out of Hyannis or Woods Hole to the islands of Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket. • If you want a scenic tour, nearby is the Cape Cod Central Railroad tour which provides a great tour of the sights and sounds of the Cape as well as a meal. • Head up to Orleans to catch a Whale watching boat ride. • If you want more beach take a trip up the beautiful Cape Cod National Seashore! • Take a day trip to Provincetown where you can visit local art galleries, shops, the P-town tower and historic Provincetown. We ask our renters to bring their own linens and towels. This is a common practice for rentals on Cape Cod. We can arrange for linens and towels for a fee of $75.
