Walk or bike to the beach, park or into downtown in a few minutes. (The rail trail bike path is just 1 min away). Enjoy a backyard fire or swing in the sunporch. Our home is best for couples, small families, cat cuddlers, foodies and our wanderlust tribe — we love to give local recommendations, please ask away! Why stay here? :: - Our newly renovated secluded sunporch with hanging chair is the perfect escape after a day at the beach - This neighborhood is pretty fantastic — there’s also people walking and biking on our starter. We are super close to smooth biking paths or just take the beach cruiser out for a spin along the water. We're a 2-minute bike to the ocean basin and beautiful Joppa Flats park (Previously the site of Newburyport's clam beds and clammers' cottages,) - Interested in visiting Boston but not interested in driving in — no problem. The Newburyport Commuter rail is a 2-minute drive from the house. This will take you on a scenic ride right into the heart of the city in 60 minutes. (We're happy to pick you up or drop you off if we're available.) - Just let us know what you like to do and we'll do our best to steer you in the right direction. (What's better than a local guide?) - We have lots of fun and helpful goodies you can use during your stay including beach chairs, plenty of extra toiletries, beach towels, 2 mountain bikes, and a beach cruiser. - We're very flexible with check in and check out time! Just let us know what time works for you — this isn't a hotel, it's a home so come and go as you wish :) Other things to note - No smoking or pets please - You'll be sharing our home with Bowser (our cat and your adorable host for the duration of your stay). If you have allergies it's best you book elsewhere. About the kitty :: Our Maine coon cat is like a dog, he's very friendly, comes when called, curious and may also greet you at the door. He spends most of his time patrolling the perimeter and is a highly skilled critter assassin and cuddler. He is both an indoor and outdoor cat and comes and goes as he pleases so don't worry if he spends the night outside. If he wants to come in he'll be at the back door or greet you at the front.
