Launch your kayak or canoe nearby. Ride your bike along the coast. Fabulous hiking. Gorgeous beaches! Padanaram Harbor, Historic New Bedford, Newport and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard are nearby. Boston is an hour's drive. Wonderful seafood restaurants, quaint villages, and walking trails abound. The space My place is perfect for 1 or 2 adults seeking spacious privacy, waterfront, beautiful scenery, serenity, beaches, and quaint villages. It offers a King bed, a separate sitting area, cable tv, shower bath and outdoor seating overlooking the river, pond and pastures. With plenty of windows, guests will find the suite to be roomy, open, and airy. Many bird species frequent the property and deer are regular visitors. Bring your binoculars and keep your camera close at hand! Guest access Guests will enjoy a flexible check in, a private entrance, a designated parking space located close to the entryway, a yard area with views of the river and farmland, outdoor seating area, shower bath, coffee grinder and coffee maker for breakfast prep and a small refrigerator and microwave for drinks and snacks. Other things to note The guest suite is accessed by a full flight of stairs. Mass Audubon and Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust offer trails, presentations and field outings in the area regularly. Rent kayaks and bikes locally. Take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Cuttyhunk Island for the day. The kayak and canoe launch on the property is accessed by an estuary that runs into the Slocum River. Its accessibility is influenced by the tides. It can be challenging at low tide. Several other put ins are close by for launching into the Slocum and Westport Rivers or Padanaram Harbor. Kayaks, canoes or paddle boards can be rented nearby. They are not provided. Please note that the kitchen is set up for making a simple breakfast, lunch or snacks. It is not intended to be used to make full meals. Guests can enjoy take out from a variety of restaurants and markets at the indoor or outdoor dining areas provided.
