We are close to amazing fishing, swamp tours, beautiful wetlands, relaxing settings. We sit on 70 acres of beautiful rural scenery that includes bayou frontage, pasture, woods and open marsh. We also have one bedroom and a cottage available on the same property. Hosts Anne and Charles Gaiennie live onsite and can share ideas of things to see and do while here. If you're here to fish or hunt, we can share with you local updates fish and game reports to make your time here great. Oh and did we mention that Anne is one of the best Cajun cuisine cooks you'll ever meet? Make sure to ask about homemade breakfasts, lunches or dinners. Walking into our three bedroom apartment is like walking into your home. Mostly everything you need for a comfortable stay is there. You also have complete access to our 70 acres that includes a 1/4 mile of bayou frontage as well as access to wooded trails and our private pond. Need something special? Just ask. Anne and Charles live on the property and we are most pleased to spend as much - or as little - time as you like. Dularge is a very friendly and very safe community. Expect people to greet you warmly and to go out of their way to help you in any way you can. Feel free to tell them where you're from as most of our neighbors are pleased and proud to share what makes being here special. Public bus transportation is located in Houma however Houma is a 15 to 20 minute drive from us. Realistically a car is your best bet but if that's not available, let us know and we'll do what we can to help you get from A to B as easy as possible. Taxi services are also available. Uber may also be available but check with them directly. We are a rural community so its wise to pick up groceries or other items before heading down. A Dollar General 10 minutes away has many household goods as well as a good supply of basic groceries. Falgout Canal Marina just 10 minutes away also has a simple grill with excellent hamburgers and other eats. Enjoying a burger on the deck watching the seagulls, pelicans and boats is one of our favorite past times.
