Enjoy the cozy, rustic setting of this home away from home. Set outside of town, you can relish the quiet, yet be only miles away from first-class shopping, all-season recreating opportunities, and a variety of excellent restaurants. Guests will enjoy gorgeous views of the Columbia Mountain range upon entering the forested property. They will enter the house through the garage and continue to their rental upstairs. The rental itself is basically the upstairs version of a basement apartment: it has its own space but is attached to the main house. Guests will have access to their own washer/dryer (located downstairs just inside the main house via the garage, but only for guest use). Guests will also have access to a wheelchair elevator (goes from first floor garage to second floor rental). The bathroom is not wheelchair accessible, but the living area is spacious and accommodating. This location is 6.5 miles Glacier Park International Airport, 6.5 miles from downtown Whitefish, and 25 miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. The property manager for this rental, Holly Hannan (Bullwheel Rentals), is available 24/7. The property owner, who lives on-site, is also available at variable hours throughout the day and weekend. Whitefish is home to gorgeous mountain views, bike paths that run along rivers and through town, world renowned skiing, family fun for all ages in every season, and accessible amenities, so no matter how far you are from home, you'll be able to find the things you need to feel the most comfortable. During the winter, Whitefish provides a SNOW bus that transports passengers to/from different locations throughout the town of Whitefish and then on to Whitefish Mountain Resort. If you are driving, the town is small enough to get around in comfortably, with well-marked signage. Bike paths are also a fantastic way to sight-see and get from one part of town to another. This particular rental is less than 7 miles from the train depot in downtown Whitefish and Glacier International Airport. Glacier National Park requires a reservation to enter (between 6am and 3pm) at the following entrance fee stations: May 26-Sept 10 - West Glacier and North Fork July 1-Sept 10 - Two Medicine, Many Glacier, and St. Mary There is not a thermostat or air control in the rental itself. The owner has all of that in the main house downstairs. When the temperature drops below 66 on cooler nights (particularly before and after the hotter summer temps are in full effect), the heat kicks on. When it goes above 71, the A/C kicks on. If you need the temperatures changed at all, feel free to message me and we can adjust. During the summer, you’re more than welcome to open the windows of the rental to let the cool night air in.
