Country Living in the City
Country Living in the City
Description
Our lovely home has been described as "Country living in the city" and, as such, the location cannot be beat. Our quiet street provides a wonderful setting for relaxation and splendid views. We are an easy walk or drive to MSU or downtown (1/2 mile to Main St.). You’ll love this home for the ambiance, views, the neighborhood, the light, and the comfy beds. The furniture and beds are all new. The house water comes from our well providing fresh, tasteless, crystal clear Montana water! The space The house, built in 1960, is fully furnished with four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is one queen bed in each bedroom; in addition, the fourth bedroom also has one twin. Lots of closet space. Open space "great room" (living, dining, kitchen) and a recreation/TV room. Fully equipped kitchen; high-speed Wi-Fi and cable TV. Garage is available for one vehicle (note: south garage only; height limit of 6'2"). We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in. A former guest had this to say: This beautiful home is in a superb location. We walked the half mile to the Montana State University campus and the half (plus) mile to Main Street. The home is tastefully appointed. It is open concept with 3 bedrooms off the upper main living room and kitchen. A fourth bedroom downstairs is next to a large den / TV room. The kitchen and living room look out over a meadow onto the spectacular Gallatin Mountains. Wow! You really feel as if you are in the country. Guest access There is a small apartment behind the house, just above the garage, that may or may not be occupied. Please respect the area past the garage as private. We ask the same of the apartment occupants. Therefore, we ask that the garage is only to be used for vehicle or gear storage, i.e., no partying or other noise in the garage. Other things to note Plenty of outdoor venues for both alpine and cross country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, swimming, horse back riding. Downhill skiing - easy accessibility to Bridger Bowl and Big Sky. Cross country skiing is available in town (many nearby trails) and the revitalized Crosscut Mountain Sports Center up Bridger Canyon. Biking - There are some great biking trails in town, easily accessible from the house. No need to load the bikes up and drive anywhere! For mountain biking there are fun trails starting from right here on Ice Pond Road that I love to ride which are somewhat casual and friendly, yet offer a bit of challenge. If you're interested in road biking, Bozeman is a great city for local riding and is a great way to get around town. We keep a "fleet" of bicycles in the garage for guests to use. I jokingly use the term "fleet" (there are six) because they are fine for getting downtown but most definitely not your upscale or very new bikes :) Hiking - There are numerous mountain ranges in this area. While staying in Bozeman, if you want to do day hikes, the Hyalite Range is just south of town and offers spectacular hikes. If you're thinking about backpacking the Hyalites are great for that also but there are choices too many to list here! Fishing - This is the perfect getaway with access to the Gallatin River, the Madison River, the Yellowstone River, the Missouri and Jefferson Rivers and many spring creeks, streams and alpine lakes. Rafting - The exciting river is the Gallatin River and there are a few different guides. If you are interested in rafting/floating and fishing the Yellowstone River, north of the park, makes for a very pleasant trip. Yellowstone National Park is 1 1/2 hours to either the Gardiner entrance or West Yellowstone. Numerous Hot Springs including Bozeman Hot Springs, Norris Hot Springs, Chico Hot Springs and the Boiling River located in Yellowstone. Downtown Bozeman is a lovely walk, if you choose. There is a variety of restaurants and bars along with art galleries and shopping for all. Montana State University and the Emerson Cultural Center are among others for special events and ongoing concerts. Enjoy your stay! Registration Details STR20-00304
