Brookforest Road is unique in the sense that their are only about 10 neighbors on the 1 mile gravel road. We've decided to keep it gravel for the purpose of keeping that country charm/ feeling. Everyone owns multiple acreage lots, so neighbors are far and in between. You can't see your neighbors and your neighbors can't see you. You have the entire house - Privacy is no issue. However, host does share the 3 acres and gravel driveway. Host's home is about 300 ft from Cottage. Within a mile are Restaurants, Bars, Abita Beer Brewery, Grocery, Churches, Playgrounds, Museums, Bike Paths/ Trailhead, Coffee shops, Bakery. Their are no shortages of things to do. We also have Vineyards in the area. New Orleans/ French Quarter/ Airport (MSY - Louis Armstrong International Airport) is about 47 miles away. A short 45 minute drive across one of the worlds longest bridges. The best way to get around is by car or by Uber. There is no public transportation. I can accommodate parking for 4 cars or an oversized truck. Bike rentals are available at the Ponchartrain Lakefront, Mandeville area & Downtown Covington. Pets shall get authorization prior to booking and shall accept any & all liability. $50 Pet Fee Per Pet. No pets allowed on beds & couch. Pets shall not be left unattended or confined to a bedroom. If left at Cottage, pet shall be kenneled. Guest that bring their pet - shall be responsible for cleaning (pet hair) the Cottage. Cleaning supplies are located in the master bedroom closet.
