NEW A/C! Incredible ocean views from the back lanai, with a semi-private beach steps away. West Maui sunsets, framed by the islands of Lanai and Molokai, are truly unforgettable! Relax & unwind in the Balinese-themed space, listening to classic Don Ho on a vintage style record player; enjoying the cool vibes of NW Maui. Only minutes north of the world famous Kaanapali resorts: great restaurants, shops and beautiful beaches; just south of the famous Kapalua resorts and iconic beaches. The space NEWLY INSTALLED A/C will keep you cool when its warm outside. However, instead of AC, you might want to consider allowing the therapeutic trade winds to cool the condo when possible, enjoying the healing salt water breezes as they soothe you and cool the condo. Open the front and back screen doors, and enjoy the cooling trade winds as they flow through the condo, often resulting in 5-10 degrees cooler temperatures than nearby Kaanapali and Lahaina. Experience iconic West Maui sunsets over the ocean as they are to be experienced...up front and personal...right from our back lanai! Start your day sipping coffee or eating breakfast on the back lanai as you enjoy the gentle sounds of the ocean. Take a walk on the adjacent beach or watch the sea turtles eating seaweed at the base of the seawall. Finish your day dining on the lanai, or at one of many our local restaurants listed in our online guide, while listening to the sounds of the ocean and Don Ho on our vintage style record player, and watching the sun set against the backdrop of Lanai and Molokai. We don't think you'll find a better place to enjoy the ocean anywhere in West Maui. Kaanapali, with its resorts, beaches and other amenities is only a 10 minute drive from the condo. Enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants, or sunbathing and snorkeling at Airport Beach or Sheraton Black Rock. Our little slice of paradise is only a few minutes from these big resorts, but far enough from the all the related activity to truly relax and unwind! The front screen security door locks from the inside, so you can safely keep the front door open at night, allowing excellent airflow through the unit. The condo includes a recently enlarged closet next to the bathroom to store personal items during your stay, as well as a dresser in the bedroom. We also have hanger/hooks on the back of the closets near the bathroom for hanging clothes and towels, along with a wall hook in the bedroom. NOTE: We do not provide food, condiments, sugar, coffee, etc..: in the kitchen or refrigerator. Our housekeepers are instructed to remove any remaining items when they clean between stays so our refrigerator and kitchen are clean and fresh for the next guests. If you would like to enjoy the sun a little closer to the ocean, feel free to borrow a lounge chair - available at the sound end of our building, next to the stainless steel gas BBQ, which is also available for use during your stay. Please return any chairs you borrow and clean the BBQ after each use. Mahalo. Guest access We want you to be comfortable during your stay. If you run the A/C, please CLOSE ALL DOORS & WINDOWS (INCLUDING THE LANAI SIDE LOUVERED WINDOWS) WHEN USING THE A/C. THE A/C WILL NOT COOL THE CONDO IF THE DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE OPEN. You'll have full use of the entire condo, along with the common areas of the complex, including the walkway and grass area adjacent to the back patio, fenced pool area, lounge chairs, stainless steel gas BBQs and onsite laundry room. Your stay also includes FREE parking in the Kahana Reef parking lot. Spaces are often available only a few steps from the front door. No long walks to the condo, and no stairs to climb with heavy luggage😉 Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: Although we accept well-behaved & alert parents 😉, our condo wasn't designed with infants or young children in mind. The space has not been child-proofed, and although we have locking screen and patio doors, the 6 ft seawall is only 20 ft from our back patio. An unsupervised child could easily climb over the seawall and into the ocean below in less than a minute from our back lanai. Unsupervised infants and young children are not recommended. We are finally adding an air conditioning system in our condo! Although the Trade Winds usually blow through the Kahana Reef-Napaili area regularly, and our unit is designed to make the most of these natural cooling breezes, air conditioning is nice sometimes. It is not uncommon for our place to be 5-10 degrees cooler than waterfront condos closer to Lahaina. NOTE: THE A/C WILL NOT COOL THE CONDO IF THE DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE OPEN.
