Kauhale Makai has a lot of grass area towards the ocean. Beautiful grounds with tropical gardens will be back by 2022 after piping project is complete. The complex was under major renovations in 2017, 2018 and 2019. We live in Canada, therefore, there is 3 or 4 hrs time difference depending on the season. The beach in front of the condo is excellent for long walks, jogging, swimming and snorekling. Public tennis courts are within short walking distance. Renowned golf courses are located just minutes away. It is close to many of Maui’s world famous beaches and anything ocean related is at your footsteps; diving, snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, kite boarding and more. Our central location in South Maui is convenient to many of Maui’s attractions, restaurants, shopping (very close to the famous Wailea shops), grocery stores and entertainment. South Maui has the best weather as it is protected by mountains from the storms and rains or the northern and eastern parts of the island. We recommend to rent a car for getting around. There is a one free parking spot for our guests. Additional parking space has to be requested in advance. Pipelining and replacement project is back on track in the Plumeria Building as of April 2021. Intermittent noise and disruption is possible until July 2021.
