This listing is for the Main House and King Suite, two separate living areas that can be accessed from a central atrium. All together, you will have over 2000 square feet indoors, which sleeps 8 adults and 500 square feet of outdoor lanai space! The Main House: features a private 500 square foot lanai (deck), large living room, dining room and kitchen with new appliances, one bedroom with 1 queen bed, an open loft area with 2 queen beds, and a full size bathroom with tub and shower. King Suite: Walk through the atrium to reach a separate 600 square feet suite that includes 1 king size bed, a sofa bed with a pull out full size mattress, 1 full bathroom with a shower and tub, and a huge walk in closet. See the pictures for more details! Your private areas include the Main House, wrap around lanai and the King Suite. Shared areas include the atrium, laundry in the garage and the backyard, which may be shared with the owner who lives in another unit on the property. An owner/property manager lives onsite in a separate unit, so we can be there if you needed or give you privacy. We’re easy to reach over the Airbnb app. The house features Hawaiian style architecture with open beams and indoor/outdoor living. We are in a residentially-zoned, classic Kona neighborhood, situated on half an acre of lush tropical vegetation. We're in the desirable "comfort zone" elevation, where it always 10 degrees cooler than shore, so you will enjoy comfortable sleeping temperatures without the need for air conditioning. There are ceiling fans and portable fans in each room. In the house, you experience the sounds of Hawaii, which include bird song during the day, coqui frog song at night, and sounds of life in a typical local Hawaiian neighborhood (kids playing, dogs). Since some are not used to the frog sound at night, we provide white noise alarm clocks in each bedroom and earplugs in each bathroom. We are not allowed to host parties, weddings or commercial events. Only the number of registered guests can visit the property. If you'd like to invite others who were not included in the reservation, please let us know in advance. Local law mandates quiet hours from 9pm to 8am. Please be respectful of our neighbors and mindful of your noise level, especially when you are in the driveway in front of the house. We encourage you to enjoy the lanai, while being respectful of our neighbors. There are small colorful geckos in the yard and they often get into the house. They are your friends and harmless, so please don't hurt them. They eat the bugs you'd prefer not to have around. We try our hardest to keep pests and bugs out of the house, and we ask for your help with this by following our house rules about keeping doors closed, proper food storage and cleaning. However in Hawaii, geckos and bugs are part of life and unavoidable. This is a legal, licensed hosted rental, which means an owner/property manager will be at the property (in a separate unit that is not shared with you). We are here for you should you need anything, but if you'd prefer not to interact, we will give all the privacy you need for a relaxing stay.
