Every piece of this building it was designed and hand crafted by us,made with much love for details and functionality! Our parking area can accommodate up to four cars. After you park your vehicle you will be led on a lava formation and gravel trail (approximately 150ft) until you reach the treehouse. BAUMHAUS consists of TWO 360 VIEW TRANSPARENT ROOMS, when you book under this listing called “Hawaiian tree house” you ll get a KING SIZE BED room (1 room), the other room ll be locked and you will still have the full tree house for your self. If you would like to fit 4 people and have 2 rooms available please book under the listing called “delightful”. The rooms are connected with an expansive wooden deck and , fully equipped KITCHEN plus a BATHROOM that includes a BATH TUB with a dimming light. In your bedroom you will find a KING SIZED BED, a puristic piece of furniture for your clothes and power outlets, with minimalistic designs that bring you closer to nature again. The feeling of being indulged in nature lets you relax and find inner peace, as the surrounding flora is gently swaying in the wind. In addition to that outdoor living situation you will find a small GYM setup below the platform while the birds sing. BAUMHAUS is basically a part of this ecosystem. As it rains the tanks fill up, providing drinking water quality as the collected water runs through 3 different filters. When the sun is shining this energy is also harvested with our solar system and stored in a battery bank. A real eco friendly place where natural resources are used sustainably. THE LOCATION & NATURE The location is right in the middle between Hilo and VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK, both within a distance of 20 miles. The road leading to the property is paved. The place provides a very calm surrounding as the few neighbours are also enjoying their privacy here in midst of the forest. From the parking lot you will have a short walk over a winding trail that brings you to the elevated nature resort which is 12 feet high in the air. The entrance of the BAUMHAUS is a spacious staircase that leads to a big trapdoor, which is hydraulically supported to let you be able to enter your vacation stay with ease. As you set foot on the deck you enter a whole new world of freedom and nature connectedness. Imagine a mystical wood deck on “eye level” with the lush surrounding Hawaiian Rainforest. As you take a look around you will notice a calming green paradise of endemic Ohias and Guave trees, as well as Papaya, Banana and Avocado trees. The forest is also home to a great variety of birds, that can be watched very well, especially from the elevated platform. At nightfall the typically Hawaiian coqui frogs will provide your melody for the evening. TERMS OF CONDITIONS As the deck is 12 feet elevated we will not take responsibility for falling off in any case. The deck is secured with a roped fence but it takes additional care especially for children as there is a gap between the ropes. Only one person at a time is allowed to be in the “floating net”. Please be aware of not wasting electric power or water irresponsibly since the resources are limited and only provided by nature. Any damages must be reported. HOUSE RULES 🍃Close the trap door slowly, dont let it fall 🍃 Don’t take anything from the house out of the house. 🍃 You are not allowed to bring any guest from outside for security reasons, this place is designed and insure only for 2 guest. 🍃The fire pit cant be taken inside any closed room, you must keep it outside for security reasons. 🍃Just one person at the time is allowed on the net for safety reasons(it just resist the weight for one person) 🍃No pets are allowed in this place. 🍃Don’t step in the toilet lid, its fragile and you can fall down. 🍃Don’t lean agains the manila ropes (fence) for security reasons Thank you for reading and we look forward to having you 🙏 Guest access Kitchen | Bathroom | Gym | Net | Bridge | Garden forest (Not allowed to go at the end of the property, there is another unit(transparent house), please respect their privacy. Other things to note To give our guests the feeling of being fully immersed in nature, there is only a narrow walking trail through the rainforest leading to the structure. It’s about 200 feet from the parking area and a mix of smooth lava rock and washed gravel. All your goods are best transported by backpack, as the trail gets narrow at places. The trail is illuminated by lights, but an additional flashlight always comes in handy.
