Our house is a 2 storey home situated on a bluff overlooking the island of Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket Sound. The Town of Falmouth celebrates July 4th with a huge fireworks display which takes place on a floating barge directly in front of our house. The famous' Falmouth Road Race' which attracts runners from around the world can be viewed right from our front yard. The house has 6 bedrooms, 2 full kitchens, 2 bathrooms,each with full tub/shower, 2 living rooms, 2 dining areas, balcony, glassed-in and screened sun porch, and patio/deck. We purchased this house over 25 years ago precisely because it could be used either as a normal 2 storey house, albeit with 2 kitchens or as 2 separate fully equipped large apartments. This of course permitted our immediate family to reside in one apt. and our in-laws and/or family friends to use the other apt. simultaneously. The togetherness was and is great but so was and is the ability to retreat to your private space. There is a washer and dryer as well as an ice maker. Included in each apartment (each floor) is a dishwasher, stove/oven, refrigerator, high speed internet, microwave, and cable television. There is also a patio/deck with a bbq grill and an outdoor hot/cold water shower for removing all that sand and salt from the beach. The property has the most amazing direct ocean and beach views from almost every room in the house. Parking is available for 4 cars. Steps away from beach-side dining and pubs. 2 minute walk to beach, 3 minute walk from Falmouth Harbor, 3 minute walk from Falmouth Yacht Club. The Island Queen Ferry to Martha's Vineyard is just a short 5 minute walk. Bicycle rentals, several parks, baseball park, and basketball court are all located nearby. Short jaunt from Falmouth village center and all of the restaurants, shops and pubs. This location is unsurpassed as far as views and proximity to everything needed for an outstanding and truly memorable summer vacation. Entire house and grounds with no restrictions whatsoever. Owner does not reside permanently on the premises. Our property manager is available to you during office hours if help and/ or information is requested and during nightime in emergency situations. Our property is located in an oceanfront, residential neighbourhood with easy access to beaches and parks, harbor and yacht club, pubs and restaurants which are all only steps away. While a car is not mandatory it is recommended . All major car rental agencies serve the Falmouth area. We supply linens and bath towels. However it is permissible to bring your own towels and linens if you prefer. The minimum stay is 7days - Saturday to Saturday. The house is available to rent only in the months of June, July, August and September of each year.
