The house was remodeled and raised this year. There is one garage space available, and an elevator option (ADA dimensions). There is a washer, clothes lines, horse shoes, outside seating, bikes, crab and beach items... an easy walk (3 blocks) to the ocean and many attractions - including a bay beach and nature walk - in Brant Beach. IMPORTANT - please note: Bed sheets (one queen and two twin sized beds) and towels are not included since most tenants prefer to bring their own sheets and towels (so far we have had only one request in over 25 years). If other arrangements are necessary, please communicate with the owner via Airbnb and we will accommodate whatever works best for your situation. There is a full laundry in the garage level. Pets are not permitted in this apartment. The owners are directly available to you via phone and emails to assist with any questions or advice on how to make the most of your time on the island. The majority of owners in the neighborhood have been residents for at least two generations, have kids and grandkids... a safe and kid-friendly area, with low traffic. The apartment rental includes a garage space and one parking space. Street parking is free. There is a no-charge shuttle that travels the length of the island on frequent intervals. Also, Brant Beach offers on-call assistance and rides to those needing help getting up and over the dunes. The house has been remodeled and raised, which has provided nice bay views and better breezes - particularly on the deck area. An ADA compliant elevator (i.e. large enough for a wheelchair and aide) is available at $100 per week, with a refundable deposit. Some of the best restaurants are BYOB and most have week night specials for couples and families (check the weekly Sand Paper...). Four beach badges are included for use during your stay.
