This is a great rental for the summer. This is a newly renovated beautiful Creole cottage in a quiet neighborhood. It is my home, full of books, personal items, and so on. Only for responsible person. I am a professor and I will be away. The space This is a great, newly-renovated Creole cottage built in the second part of the 19th century. It has hardwood floors, high ceilings, ceiling fans, AC/heat, high speed Internet/wi-fi, TV with Roku, an open-floor living room, bedroom on the second floor with king-size bed, a study upstairs, kitchen, full bathroom, front porch and a nice backyard. There are three outside security cameras for your safety but the neighborhood is safe. New stove, Nespresso coffee machine, washer/dryer. The mini-split ductless AC/heat units are great because you can control them separately (e.g. the first floor and second floor; or kitchen and living room, etc.) and they consume much less than a big traditional central unit. This is a quiet, safe area three blocks from Carrollton avenue (the main/old streetcar line, bike lane, etc.). There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, book stores, etc. on Carrollton Avenue, on nearby Oak Street, on Maple Street, the Riverbend, etc. One can get easily anywhere in the city by streetcar or bicycle or by car using Carrollton or Claiborne avenues. 15 min. driving to the French Quarter; only a few minutes to Uptown, Mid-City, etc., close to Ochsner Hospital on Jefferson or Ochsner Baptist on Napoleon, etc. Available for the summer months.
