Welcome to our comfortable, newly renovated, private guest suite. This quiet Waukee neighborhood living space includes two bedrooms, one full bath, kitchenette, laundry room, dining space and cozy living room area. Off street parking for one vehicle is available. A private entrance is available from the back deck. Your home away from home features a comfortable king size bed and a full size bed. A smart television is available in the living room and an HDTV is available in one bedroom. No matter what your reason for visiting the Des Moines metro area, you will find this 800 square foot, private living space, to be comfortable and clean, like a home away from home. This Waukee location in the Western suburbs of Des Moines has quick convenient access to I-35, I-80 and I-235 which will connect you to downtown Des Moines, West Des Moines, Jordan Creek Mall, and many popular local attractions. Amenities include, updated (3/26/19) broadband wifi access which averages a minimum of 30mbs download and 17mbs upload speed, microwave, toaster oven, small refrigerator and freezer, hot plate, pizza pizazz, Kurig coffee machine, complimentary coffee, beverages and snacks, dishes and cooking utinsils, keypad entry access, washer & dryer, ample closet space, iron & ironing board and hair dryer. Private off street parking is available for one vehicle on the North (left side) of the driveway, on street parking is available on the West side of the street. This is an In Law suite which was added as an addition to our house. Your entire private accommodations are accessed through a private entrance and separated by the locked white French doors off of the kitchenette. You may hear some movement and activity from time to time but rest assured it will be minimal. The back yard is shared by us and our dog, you may see her briefly from time to time during your visit. When you arrive one vehicle may park on the left side of the driveway. Walk beside the garage toward the back yard, across the concrete patio and follow the sidewalk to the back of the residence. Your entrance is off of the wood deck. Open the storm door to gain access to the door lock keypad. You will be provided a code to the keypad prior to your arrival. Your hosts will make every effort to greet you when you arrive and answer any questions that you might have. we will be available via text messaging if needed. We love our little old school Ice cream shop on the triangle, and there are several parks, a new Imax movie theater, bowling alley, bike trail and popular eating establishments within walking distance. Should you arrive after dark, the path from the drive to the back of the residence will be illuminated for you by motion activated lighting . As warmer weather arrives, please be aware that we own a motorcycle that you may hear from time to time. DirecTV Now is a streaming service that is provided for you and is available as an app on the living room TV as well as the Firestick on the living room TV. The service is not without it's flaws but I have found that the app on the Firestick works better. It is accessed through the HDMI 2 input source on the television. Over the air television is available as well with access to over 30 channels. The door off the laundry room is for emergency exit access only.
