House is a short drive from museums, historic sites, and gardens, as well as theaters, concert venues, restaurants, and shopping. For the outdoorsy there is hiking, canoeing/kayaking/boat rentals, fishing, golfing and aerial adventure parks. In the winter there is skiing, and snowboarding nearby as well.
