West Falmouth Family Escape-Lots of Privacy

In July and August all rentals are Sat. to Sat. On Holiday weekends a minimum of three nights is required. Property is a mile to Old Silver Beach. This 2400 sq. foot home on a half acre lot features 12 rooms: 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, central air, direct access to the Shining Sea Bike Path, Bourne Farm, cranberry bogs, and hiking trails. The space The property features an outdoor shower, borders the bike path and is less than a mile to Old Silver Beach, consistently ranked as one of the Cape's best beaches. We started vacation rentals in 2017. The house is all hardwood floors, no carpets. Pets are not allowed. There are two separate dens, one up and one down. There are three Smart HDTVs one HDTV set up with a DVD collection and an 80s Super Mario Ninentendo 64. There are indoor, outdoor and beach toys for the kids. 10-12 bikes in the garage and of all sizes with helmets. Xfinity wireless internet that is super fast. The kitchen was remodeled 9 years ago. Seating for 8 at the kitchen table, plus table and bench seating for 12 on the deck off the kitchen, plus seating for eight in the sun room. There are 2 bedrooms down and two up plus an upstairs den with a trundle day bed. Note the trundle day bed is tucked away in an alcove but does not offer private sleeping. The gas furnace, central air and three season sun room are 11 years old. The backyard is huge and colorful. A large capacity Weber grill is positioned off the back deck. The outdoor shower provides water as hot or cold as you like it. We furnish beach blankets, beach towels, toys, cabana, umbrella, and two toddler wagons and a double stroller for lugging stuff to the beach. We have a crib, pack n play, high chair, two baby gates, and a privacy screen. We have tried to anticipate every need, but if we forget something, please let us know. The kitchen is fully stocked and then some. There is a mixer, blender, lobster tools, lobster pot, coffee pot, toaster, and a cupboard with oils, spices, coffee, and tea. All paper products are provided (towels, toilet, napkins, tissues). All linens are provided, plus extra sets of sheets for each bed. Bathrooms are set up with two sets of towels, plus there are extra sets for each bath. All soaps are provided (dish, laundry, shampoo, shower). We also provide a welcome bowl of fresh fruit, cookies, and a bottle of wine at check in. All guests self check-in with a key box code, sent out 1-2 weeks before arrival. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, yard, basement, and a driveway that can park 6 cars. A shed on the property that stores tools and lawn equipment will be locked. The basement is set up with a ping pong, foosball, and air hockey table, plus couches and a table and chairs. Guests are responsible for picking up after themselves when using the basement. Our cleaners simply cannot clean three floors and take care of yard work in the two hour turn around time. Thank you for understanding and enjoy! there is a custom built stone firepit in the backyard. Guests are welcome to use it; however you are required to abide by Falmouth firepit use regulations. Firepit Regulations. We also ask that you are mindful of neighbors and keep the noise down. All guests are asked to bring noisy groups inside by 10:00pm. Other things to note There are many houses to choose from in the area, but ours is different in that you get 2400 square feet of living space (plus the basement and garage) on a half acre lot bordering the 18 mile round trip bike path to Falmouth and Woods Hole and an easy .9 mile walk or drive to Old Silver Beach. Plus, we provide everything. Pack light and come to play. Many of our guests are repeat vacationers, so you may not see as many up to date reviews. We travel often and appreciate a great rental. We spend the off season improving the property. This year we replaced the privacy fence (although the neighbors are awesome), replaced shingles, painted the deck and deck furniture, and the basement floor, and added foam mattress toppers to EVERY bed. All three bathrooms are scheduled for renovation in April and May: new tile, new vanities, newer shower in master bedroom, and a tub to shower conversion in shared downstairs bath.
