Barnegat Bay Getaway

Private apartment suite attached to our house. It has 1 BR. WE ARE NOT ON THE BEACH, but we are very close to Barnegat Bay & Ocean county new jersey coastline. We are 15 miles from seaside heights. 25 miles from long beach island. 4 miles from Cedar Creek & new Berkeley Island County Park. Smithville is 35 min drive. Atlantic city is 45 min drive. It is clean, private, functional, affordable and comfortable suite. HONEY BEES, DOGS, & CHICKENS ON PROPERTY. The animals do make noise. The space PLEASE BE SURE TO COMPLETELY READ ABOUT OUR SPACE. NO PETS NO DRUGS NO PARTIES Our check-in process is a contactless check-in. We have surveillance in the front of the home viewing the driveway for your safety and ours. There is surveillance on our chicken coop for keeping our animals safe. There are no cameras or surveillance inside the guest suite at all or on the deck. The camera mounted to the corner of the house views the chicken coop only. You will have complete privacy. There are other important things you should know listed below. HONEY BEES ARE ON THE PROPERTY. We have bee hive in our backyard. It is important to let our guests know that in case of allergies to insects and bees. We suggest if you have allergies to bees you may want to choose a different listing then barnegat bay getaway. Our chickens and ducks do make noise. They quack crow and cluck often. This space is an attached apartment to our home. It is completely your own and private. Our house is a mother/daughter or sometimes called in law suite type of home. We do live on the premise but respect your privacy. If you need us we are just a phone call away. Outdoors you may see us working on the yard or up-keeping various maintenance needed on the property but we know you are here to relax and will keep to ourselves unless of course you would need us. We enjoy meeting new people and have been airbnb'ers for a long time. Its completely up to you how much contact you would like to have with us. The apartment can accommodate 4 people comfortably. This place is perfect for a family with children, 2 couples or even a few friends. Its clean and affordable for our area. It is a short drive to all the area tourist attractions, beach and even shorter drive to some local gems. There is a private deck with private BBQ grill and private entrance. NO PETS ALLOWED We do have our 3 dogs that do roam the property but they are lazy porch dogs and very very friendly. PLEASE keep in mind if you are not dog/pet friendly this listing may not be your best match @ AIRBNB. Although we have pets, pets are NOT PERMITTED in the apartment. We have these rules in place because some guest may have allergies to pets. Pets are unpredictable with other pets- such as dogs that may chase or kill our chickens or fight with our dogs & cat. Pets can leave messes or damage, such as marking territory, chewing furniture, and pet hair & dander. We do not want that in our guest suite for the upcoming guests. Our pets do NOT have any access to the guest suite at all. We keep them out and away from the guests suite. The security deposit or request for funds will be used issued for cleaning and/or damage if you bring a pet. If you have small children or infants we do have a pack and play with infant bedding, a high chair, baby tub, booster seat, some toys, games and puzzles. Please ask us if you need any of these items. The kitchen has everything you need for making meals. We have 4 camping chairs for the beach, an umbrella, food cooler, bait cooler & beachtowels. Dont forget your fishing poles, we dont supply them or the bait. Any specific arrangements (ie; bringing jetskis, extra vehicles ) you may want or need, please remember to let me know right away so i can let you know if i can accommodate you but it shouldnt be a problem. ***VERY IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS •••••Also the apartment is not child proofed for a toddlers. We do NOT have cabinet locks , toilet lid locks, outlet covers, stove knob locks, etc. It is up to you to use your judgement with information im giving you here about “not child proofed” Unfortunately we do not have washing machine or dryer available to our guests but there is a coin laundry 1 mile away. *** IMPORTANT*** >>>things to note>>> •••CHECK OUT IS 11:00 AM••• •••We ONLY offer 2 smart TVS and netflix. The tv has capability to stream thru your own account with hulu, amazon, etc. We DO NOT offer cable TV. The TV in the bedroom is a 32 inch. The TV in the living room space is a 43 inch. *** I provide one roll of paper-towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper, coffee & tea, sugar and basic spices. ***We have honey bees & egg laying chickens and ducks on the property. They are in our backyard which is NOT open to our guests. It is our personal area. We are a holistic, nature loving family. We do not used pesticides on our property because we are trying to increase honey bee population. We can have some mosquitos at dusk, but that is typical of southern/coastal New Jersey. We have citronella table candles. If you have allergies to bees, poultry or eggs this listing may not be the best fit for you. ***The apartment is attached to our home. There is two doors, one to the private deck/entrance that is for your use and the other door is to the inside of our home which is always locked. This door is locked from both sides. You cannot enter our area and i cannot enter yours. The apartment was originally set up as a mother daughter for family guests. Our personal utility room and attic access is on the outside walls of the apartment so you may hear noise coming from the inside of our home. Nothing more then sounds of kids, cleaning, and a washer and dryer going. Im sorry we do not offer use of the washer and dryer because it is located in our personal space. *** also, the king bed is in the bedroom but the bathroom door access is in the that bedroom. This apartment was designed intentionally that way to accommodate a couple, as a studio. If you do not need total and constant privacy this can work, or if you are flexible to share space with the guests you are traveling with. This home is not wheeled chair accessible. There are stairs, and tight spaces. I hope this detailed list and description of information helps but if you have anything other questions you can “contact host” and ask. Guest access The entire apartment is the guests and so is the adjoining deck. The common spaces would be the front-yard, courtyard area in front of driveway, and driveway. There is no access to the backyard as we use that for our personal use. Also our honey bees are in the backyard and we try to not disturb them unless absolutely necessary so we appreciate your understanding. There is room for 2 vehicles if you let me know you need the space in advance. Bring your bicycles if you can and enjoy bike riding at the barnegat branch trail that is close by and is a bicycler's favorite. Other things to note THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE THE APARTMENT. Smoking and vaping on the deck outside is fine with us. However, we kindly ask you place any tobacco or other smoking products in the proper receptacles or ashtrays. If there is smoking in the house your security deposit will be used to clean the guest suite. So please, NO SMOKING INDOORS! The apartment/guest suite is set up like a studio so the bathroom is in the bedroom. You need to enter the bedroom to access the bathroom. This may not work for all guests. Again i will mention the house is NOT child proof for a toddler. There is no cabinet locks, outlet covers, stove knob locks, etc etc. Please use your own judgement about your childs safety when deciding if our airbnb is right for you.
