Description
A great converted attic apartment in a 1900's house. Our house is within walking distance to downtown, restaurants, local breweries, grocery store, coffee shops, Missoula Art Museum, Zootown Arts Community Center, Clark Fork River, McCormick Park, Ogren Park (Paddle-head Stadium), Caras Park, St. Patrick Hospital and other Missoula attractions. The space Our house, built in the early 1900s, has undergone several remodels over the years. Before we purchased it, the previous owner meticulously replaced the siding, having it custom-milled to match the original design. We’ve continued to update the interior and have thoroughly enjoyed restoring this gem while living in a revitalized historic Missoula neighborhood. A few quirky features to note: Compact kitchen: Equipped with a toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, and dorm-size refrigerator. Bathroom setup: It features a custom tile shower/bath and toilet but does not include a separate sink. The kitchen sink serves both kitchen and bathroom needs. Steep stairs: The final flight to the attic apartment has steep, narrow steps typical of attic stairs, so it’s not ideal for those unsure on their feet. Sloped ceilings: As a converted attic, the space includes low ceilings and steep slopes, especially noticeable in the shower. Train noise: Like much of the downtown area, we’re near train tracks, and occasional noise from train activity can be heard. Guest access Guests have a private entrance to the top-floor apartment, located in a converted attic space. Please note that the stairs leading to the apartment are steep and shallow, typical of attic steps, and may not be suitable for those who are not sure-footed. Additionally, roof access is not available for guests. Other things to note The attic apartment has a low ceiling with a traditional attic slope that follows the roofline, adding to its charm. The final flight of stairs is steep and shallow, so please keep this in mind if mobility is a concern. Our house is located near the train tracks, and you may hear the loud boom of trains coupling together, along with occasional noise from passing trains.
