Quiet, convenient and cozy!

Clean and comfortable. 2 bedrooms, full bath and kitchen, and free parking spot. 1st floor of 2-family. Owner lives upstairs. Door to the guest's residence is through a rear hallway. Hallway is occasionally shared with owner. 1 block to 15 min bus ride to Harvard Sq. (directions below) Easy access to Boston but in green and quiet neighborhood. There's no living room but there is comfortable sitting area in one of the bedrooms. Work space can also be arranged. Please let us know what you need. The space You get a private apartment and don't have to go through anyone else's living space to get to your door. You need not share the bathroom, or kitchen, The guest area is on the first floor of a two family house on the quiet backyard side of the house. Please note that the other part of the first floor is a piano studio where the owner teaches from approximately 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. There is additional intermittent practicing by the owner and very occasional lessons between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m on weekdays. The piano studio is separated from the guest area by a heavy door. So, though during these hours you will likely hear piano playing, no guest who has read and accepted these conditions has ever complained and most say they very much enjoy the fine music coming from the studio. Some adjustments can be made if you know you need quiet at certain hours. Please inquire. Although there is no dedicated sitting-room or office work-space, we can reconfigure to make one or both of these for you if your party is not too large. Let's talk for details. Within a 10 minute walk are several restaurants, a large lake with a 2.5 mile path around it for walking, biking or jogging, tennis courts and a beautiful public golf course. There is a supermarket 1 mile away. Guest access Guests entrance is to the fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, two bedrooms, a modern bathroom and a washer and dryer in the shared basement. In warm weather months, guests can enjoy our lovely enclosed backyard as well as a spacious back porch. There is a private parking place for one car in the driveway. More than one car can be accommodated-please inquire. Other things to note The larger Bedroom has a full size bed (54" X 76") and the smaller bedroom has a twin bed (36" X 72") plus a twin mattress/box spring on the floor. In addition to the 3 beds, I can provide one additional twin-bed mattress for anywhere you like. The price is $50 per person for each guest beyond two. Each of the two bedrooms has window air conditioners. There is an air conditioner in the kitchen but not in the bathroom. DIRECTIONS TO MIT & HARVARD b,,a.i.,,-?.,,-(((-(' To HARVARD UNIV. It’s a straight shot, an approximately 2.5 mile, 12 minute drive. OR you can take the local Bus 73 which stops at the top of our street approximately 200 yards from then̈j lmk residence. Then it’s a 17-27 minute bus ride depending on the time of the day. Real-time bus schedule is available on a cell phone. TO MIT: By car you would take the same route described above to go to Harvard Square; and then drive an additional, approximately 1.3 miles, 10 minute car ride to MIT. OR By bus you would take the same route described above to go to Harvard Square; at Harvard Square you’d get off the bus and board the underground Subway. Get off the subway 2 stops later for MIT.
