Ideal for families visiting NJ with day trips to NYC, this duplex apartment is two blocks from Newark Broad St. Station. *When booking, you must read and agree to the house rules & tell us about yourself and your trip. *No parties. No visitors. No marijuana. No smoking. *We are in Newark. Our neighborhood is not trendy or beautiful, but it is safe and central. *We live in the top apt with rambunctious twin toddlers. If you need quiet, we are not it. *Gated parking for large van across the street The space Fully-renovated duplex apartment with new kitchen and appliances; modern, cozy furniture and art throughout. The entrance to the apartment is on the second floor after an easy flight of stairs from the main foyer. The main common spaces -- kitchen, living room, and dining area -- are on this floor as well as 3 bedrooms (1-3) and 2 full bathrooms. On the ground floor, there are 2 additional bedrooms, a semi-private alcove with a double bed (“bedroom #6”), another bathroom with a shower, and a family room with a second Roku TV, additional couches, and a small table to play board games. The apartment can fit 15-16 people quite comfortably, and with additional cots, we can even few a couple more than that. If your group has more than 16 people, contact us with details so we can provide you with a rental quote. Other things to note If you are flying in/out of Newark International Airport you'll see that we are a very convenient place to stay. That is not necessarily the case if you are flying in to La Guardia or JFK. Even from Manhattan, getting to these other two airports by public transportation is not for the faint of heart, and car service to NJ can be expensive. So please, do your research prior to booking. We have one parking space available for guests in the gated lot right across the street from our house. The gate has to be opened and unlocked manually.
