Our home is situated in Newton Highlands, Located just west of downtown Boston, Newton is considered a "streetcar suburb" because of its easy access by the Boston subway, Filled with historic homes and beautiful gardens, considered to be one of the most desirable places to live in the Greater Boston area. within a five minutes walk, you will find many restaurants, fast/casual food, coffee shops, taverns, grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations, pharmacy, major national retail stores, and many other original/funky businesses that are unique to the area. just a few minutes from our house. It's a three minutes drive both to the Charles river where you can rent canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards, and to a wonderful walking trail that encircles a small lake. The Newton Community Farm farm stand where you can buy fresh organic produce, is just a mile down the road. Free parking, one minute to bus stop, 15 minutes to T-train station Our house is easily and quickly accessed by car from route 95/128 (the highway that encircles the Greater Boston area), the Mass Pike and Route 9 which goes straight into downtown Boston. Want to save on the hassle and expense of parking in Boston? Leave your car on our spacious driveway and travel into the city by public transportation. We are just an 15 minutes walk from the green line on the T, the Boston subway system. The green line train will take you to Boston College, Boston University, Fenway park, Copley Square, Backbay, the Boston Common, TD Garden Stadium, Downtown Boston, Cambridge, Brookline and Brighton. You can also pick up the #59 bus just a blocks from the house. That bus will bring you to the Watertown terminal where you can pick up another bus to Harvard Square in Cambridge, Kenmore Square in Boston and many other areas of interest to visitors. Ubers are also plentiful and inexpensive. And, you can walk to just about anything you might need during your stay!
