Early 1900s vintage farmhouse with cozy rooms, antiques, and a large farmyard! 8 miles from I-20, 15 mi. to Bossier City & about 20 min. to downtown Shreveport. Experience a working farm with healthy pasture-raised cattle, pigs, chickens, and no chemicals/pesticides. A farm country breakfast is available for purchase. Bacon or sausage and eggs from our farm is served with grits, muffins, fruit, coffee/tea, juice. Please let Sandra know if you want breakfast at the time of your reservation. The space The farmhouse has a 2-acre yard with nice shade trees and grassy areas. There are tables, chairs & outdoor bar for your relaxation and fun!:) There are trails and roads for walking around the farm and a possible chance to see pigs, cattle, and chickens. There is a pond and fishing may be available at certain times. Please ask the host if you are interested in fishing. Our farm is great for our guests to bring their pets, as well. Pets are welcome outside and inside the farmhouse. The pet fee is $15 per pet. Your pets are allowed to roam in the B&B yard but need to be on leashes or in kennels/carriers while walking around the farm due to the electric fencing, livestock, and heavy equipment. Guest access The guest bedroom has a full size bed and attached private bath. Guests may also use the large living room, dining area, large country kitchen, back porch and front porch/sunroom to relax and enjoy. There is a mini-fridge in the hall near the guests' bedroom and a large refrigerator/freezer on back porch area, if needed. A full farm-to-table country breakfast is available for $12.00 per guest. This includes farm-raised bacon or sausage, farm-fresh eggs, grits, muffins, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. Breakfast time is flexible. Just let me know when you book or upon arrival if you would like breakfast:) During your stay I do live on the premises and can be available to greet my guests if requested. My bedroom and bath are in the back of the farmhouse separated from the guests' areas by kitchen doors and back porch door. Other things to note There are 2 cats that roam around the farmhouse outside.
