Large picture windows for gazing at the bayou let in lots of natural light. Fully handicap accessible! Not suitable for children. Cleanliness and hospitality are our specialties! No pets!! 5🌟 Bayou Long Beard is located on the bayou and adjacent to the campus of the University of Louisiana @ Monroe and distracts from the fact that you’re right inside the city! Perfect for Alumni and guests wanting to attend events on campus or just see our neat little city. The word unique is insufficient. Welcome to Bayou Long Beard! We have a beautiful back porch and dock that is shared with the main house. As far as being handicap accessible, there is even a roll in shower! We have accommodated our friend with ALS and he and his wife stated they have never stayed anywhere this accommodating to them!! Also, easy handicap access to the dock and garden area! We would love to boast our beautiful surroundings and city and are happy to answer any questions that guests might have via text or email! We will share cell #s upon booking! We will also be greeting you upon arrival to make sure your have all of the necessities for a comfortable stay! We are located adjacent to the campus of University of Louisiana @ Monroe which has a Starbucks all in walking distance. We love walking through campus and seeing the beautiful scenery! Of course, we are located on bayou front property. Monroe has Uber/Lyft and few taxis The whole house is a very open floor-plan and is wheelchair suitable. Nearby are waterfront restaurants, a beer brewery, a cigar shop, coffee shops, paddle board rentals, airport, shopping mall, many boutiques, Beidenharn Museum & Gardens, Coca-Cola Museum, Antique Alley & MORE! We may be up for a pontoon boat ride with you if we are available! Just ask! Don’t forget we now have UBER and LYFT in our area so you can be chauffeured around if you so desire!
