Booking for '26 Season. Charming cottage is a 5-minute bike ride to the Chappy ferry & beach and a 10-15 minute walk to the Frances Preserve beach. Located in a quiet wooded setting, the property offers new furniture and beds; renovated kitchen with dishwasher and microwave; new bath w/ shower/tub; washer/dryer; hardwood; screen porch; deck & outdoor shower. Cable, wifi (200 megs), AC, ceiling fan, grill, deck furniture, beach chairs & umbrella. The rental season runs mid May through late Oct. The space NOTE: THE COTTAGE REQUIRES A 2-MINUTE FERRY TO TOWN. This charming Chappy cottage, fully renovated in 2021, is a 2-minute drive from the Chappy Ferry Point and beach (a 5-minute bike ride), a 5-minute walk to Calebs Pond (via a Land Bank trail), and a 10-15 minute walk to another portion of Chappy Beach--the publicly accessible yet little known Mary Francis Preserve on Edgartown Harbor. You'll typically have this beach to yourselves, given that there's no parking. For the big beaches on Chappy, Wasque Point and East Beach are each a 10-15 minute drive. In addition to summertime visits for families and couples, this spot is a great option for Fishing Derby contestants in September and October given proximity to beaches and the weigh station in town, and the rental season typically runs through the end of the Derby. Located in a tranquil wooded setting on a quiet gravel lane, this property offers new furniture and beds with two bedrooms on the first floor (one with a queen bed and one with a full bed) and an open loft on the second floor (with two twin beds); newly renovated kitchen with dishwasher and microwave; newly renovated bath with full shower/tub; washer/dryer; new hardwood floors; screen porch; new exterior deck; new outdoor shower; shed for storage; etc. The home is equipped with Comcast cable, wifi (200 megs), ceiling fan, gas grill, deck furniture, beach chairs, and umbrellas (please bring your own beach towels). Note: There are two AC mini-splits: One in the living room and one in the loft bedroom...no ACs in downstairs bedrooms. Sorry, no pets in July & August - case by case otherwise. And please note that the cleaning fee includes a fee for trash and recycling removal. Suitability: Short-term renters only (up to 3 weeks); 7 night minimum in July and August (this changes as bookings occur) - 3 night minimum otherwise; children welcome; no smoking; no pets in July & August (sorry!); wheelchair inaccessible; and means of transportation (a vehicle or at least a bike) is a must, unless you don't mind a 30 minute walk to ferry/town. While the cottage accommodates up to six, four or less people is best for a relaxing stay. NOTE: EVEN IN THE EVENT THAT A CANCELLATION IS MADE WITHIN THE NO REFUND PERIOD, I WILL REFUND 100% OF ALL DEPOSITS IF THE RENTAL PERIOD CAN BE RE-RENTED FOR THE SAME AMOUNT (OR A PRO-RATED AMOUNT IF RENTED FOR A LESSER AMOUNT).
