9 Mile Schoolhouse & Teacherage (near Missoula)

Welcome to the 9 Mile Schoolhouse and Teacherage! Our home is yours and it is full of charm, history, and character. Cozy and cute, it has a very comfortable layout and is nestled in 9 Mile, close to the interstate for easy commute to Missoula, but out in the country for quiet times and stargazing, minus distractions and busyness of town. Kitchen is fully stocked and we have homemade brew on tap for the beer lovers. Enjoy an evening of outdoor cinema, a bonfire, or just a breath of fresh air. The space Near Missoula (approx 15-20 min drive), yet with the fresh country feel, our space is a charming rustic and historic teacherage and schoolmaster's cottage building where teachers and the schoolmaster used to live during their time employed at the 9 Mile Schoolhouse. The hardwood floors are appox. 100 years old and even though a few updates and additions have been made throughout the years, the space is altogether a throwback into a storybook time. The Teacherage is 4 bedrooms with kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and living space. The schoolmaster’s cottage is a darling one room studio that can be rented for additional cost if extra space is needed. Please request use of space or a tour by owner before entering any building except the Teacherage. (Because this is our residence as well we request that guests do not help themselves to other out buildings with the exception of the brewery without assistance or permission.) Guest access Guests will have access to the Teacherage and the Backyard Brewery. The Schoolmaster's Cottage may also be available during your stay if extra space is needed (extra charge for the cottage if more space is needed for your group.) Because of the pride and joy we have in our property there is an urge and willingness we have to share it with others, and we are happy to give a tour of other spaces upon request. Guests are welcome to their own yard area and porch overlooking the fields next door. Other things to note No wifi or cell service, but we love it that way!
