Blue Haven is 15 minutes to everything New Orleans, Festivals, French Quarter, Jazz Music, Bourbon St. Great Restaurants, E.Morial Convention Center, Harrah's Casino, Smoothie King Center & Saints Games at the Super Dome. Blue Haven is the perfect place for enjoying the city of New Orleans, and then return to a relaxing peaceful place to get ready for your next adventure. Blue Haven is near the By Water area, and The Historic Lower 9th ward. Minutes to Super Walmart, Banks Gas & Palms Casino The space The home itself is very spacious but cozy, the bedroom has a queen size bed w/ a very comfortable sealy mattress. In the living area which doubles as a bedroom at night has a queen sofa sleeper with a memory foam topper for added comfort. Also there is a queen size air mattress for additional sleeprrs. There is a writing desk with a chair, and a full private bath, with powder room on the outside. Blue Haven has a central heating and cooling system that keeps the space at the temperature you are comfortable. In the kitchen there is a side by side refrigerator/freezer, a full sized electric stove with oven. Microwave, toaster, coffee maker with coffee and tea. The cabinets are stocked with dishes, pots, pans, tea kettle, and basic cooking utensils. Smoothie maker is also in the cabinet. The fridge is stocked with a variety of drinks and water, a tray with various snacks, all complimentary! On the front side of the house there are lounging chairs available if you want to relax under the stars, or listen to the birds sing and chatter morning or evening. The patio area just aside of the house can also be used for lounging Forgot your toothbrush? No worry, the bathroom is stocked with all the essentials you'll need including fresh linens, a hair dryer, and good water pressure to enjoy a shower! There is a beautiful community park just a few blocks east (Torres Park) great place for a morning or evening walk, or a you can exercise on the professional equipment there free of charge . You can even bring a picnic basket. Be sure to bring some bread to feed the ducks! Or if you would like to see the Chalmette National Battlefield where the Battle of New Orleans was fought in 1812, or right next door visit the National Veteran's Cemetery. all in Walking distance from the Haven. Blue Haven Home Away From Home is a calm and peaceful place to visit The house is quaintly adequate for 2 and spacious enough for a family of 5. It's in a safe and quiet neighborhood where birds visit everyday. It's quite the place to sit, enjoy and listen to the sound of nature. Guest access Guest have full use of the home, and everything in it. There is a driveway that guest park in when they arrive, which leads directly into the home. This is also where you park during your stay. It even big enough to house a boat if you are looking to go fishing. Blue Haven has plenty of additional drive way parking also, so no one parks on the street. Other things to note Coffee, tea and bottle water , drinks are available, so is spices and other condiments for my cooking guest. The home has a Washer , Dryer iron & board as well as detergent and spray starch, for your convenience. There is no smoking inside the house, but patio area and outdoors may be used for smoking.
