My wife and I stay in our house two blocks away much of the time...or we are available by cell 617.501.2223. The charming village of 'Sconset is on the eastern end of Nantucket on the edge of the Atlantic providing a quiet respite from the world! The 'Sconset Market, a wine store, Claudette's Sandwich shop, and three fine restaurants are all within a five minute walk or less. Generally these businesses open just before Memorial Day and close in mid-late September or October. The beach is about a four minute walk from the house. And the main stop for the Nantucket jitney bus is right at the flagpole. The bus runs year ‘round. The Nantucket jitney bus and bicycles are a great way to get around the island. You do not have to have a car. The Nantucket jitney bus runs three times an hour (Late May through Labor Day.) and once an hour for the rest of the year. Bicycles can be rented in Nantucket Town. One week minimum stay in July and August; three night minimum at other times.
