Large backyard to enjoy the outdoors-equipped with an outdoor shower, bbq grill, and solar lights for a relaxing evening after the beach or sightseeing. Maximum 6 occupants. The space Modern furnishings and new mattresses. We are always making improvements to the house annually on the inside and outside. House has all the modern amenities you expect plus a fully stocked pantry as well as dishes and utensils. Use of the fireplace, and burning of candies, is not permitted. Per Barnstable regulation, parking of cars can only be in the driveway on the paved area. Parking in the grass or on the street is prohibited. The maximum amount of people that can be the property at any one time is six people. Very important: Please do not book if you don’t understand or do not agree to comply with the House rules particularly doing laundry of bed linens and towels on your last day before you check out. Failure to comply will result in negative review comment and a penalty charge of $300. The cleaning service does not include laundry in their work or cost because of time limitations between cleaning other properties. We will decline any request to bring your bed linens since we can’t accommodate individual requests for this - we don’t have the ability to remove all bed linens one week and then provide them for other tenants the next week. Former guests also appreciated that the house is in an ideal location close to everything either by car or walking distance to Hyannis Main Street or the nearest beach which is 10 minutes away. For tenants who have infants and young children we do not provide bassinets or travel cribs currently. We do have an infant/toddler tub, some toys and a high chair and we ask them to be wiped down after use upon checkout. If you need additional baby items for rent, we recommend hiring BabyQuip to rent items during your stay. In the summer professional cleaners arrive every Saturday for 2 hours to clean the house. They however will not have time to wash and dry all dirty laundry 🧺 so tenants must wash and dry towels and bedding prior to checkout. Tenants will fold dried towels and place back in the bathroom linen closet. Cleaners will take clean and dried bed linens from the dryer to make the beds. Tenants must place dirty dishes and silverware in the dishwasher, add detergent and start the machine. The cleaners will unpack the machine and place dishes and utensils back in the proper places. Additionally trash service is every Thursday morning. If for some reason upon checkout the trash is full or overflowing we will send a payment request for the extra trash pickup which as of July 2021 is $50 minimum but this rate may change in the future. Guest access Guests can use the entire property. Property is not handicap accessible. Other things to note During high season, June-September we provide a parking pass to all Town of Barnstable beaches. We have a strict cancellation policy and accordance with Airbnb standards. It is strongly recommended that you purchase travel insurance, should there be a need to cancel. When running the heat or air conditioner, all windows and doors must be in the closed position. We heat the house to 68°F and cool to 72°F. When the air conditioner is being run properly, the relative humidity is between 50% and 65%. It’s very humid here on the cape, so we advise that if the doors and windows are open that the AC will be shut off. We get notifications if the humidity in the house exceeds 70% and will monitor the thermostat. Hot water heater provides hot water at specific times during the day and shuts off for periods of time to conserve energy utilities. On Cape Cod, utilities are very expensive and the energy must be conserved. Hot water is made available from 5 AM in the morning till 10 AM in the morning and from 4 PM in the afternoon to 10 PM in the evening. The hot water tank is 50 gallons and should be sufficient volume provide hot water after the shut off times for 30 to 40 minutes.
