In 1936, her husband lovingly transferred the home to her for just $1—“with love and affection.” Today, we’ve carefully preserved the warmth and character of this 1910 home while adding the comforts modern guests appreciate. Settle into a cozy nook with a good book, gather together in one of the inviting living spaces, or relax on the front porch and enjoy a glimpse of Storm Lake. The chef’s kitchen is made for cooking and gathering, fully stocked with a wide variety of spices, coffee, and modern appliances to make everything from a simple breakfast to a shared family meal feel effortless and enjoyable.
