The Hale Alana Vacation Home is a beautiful, spacious, Polynesian style home with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, two of which are master bedroom suites. This lovely vacation rental is situated on a 1/2-acre tropical estate, with a spectacular lava rock pool and waterfall, which are both unheated. From nearly every room of the house and from the 72’ deck you have totally unobstructed views of the ocean, several islands, and glorious sunsets. You can even spot the whales during their annual visit from December to April. Hale Alana has central A/C; four color TV’s, phone, a fully equipped kitchen (with a Mr. Coffee, Keurig & French Press) open dining room, sunken living room, breakfast bar, laundry room, outdoor shower and a two-car garage. We also have a packnplay and highchair for our little visitors. The main outdoor features are the Lava pools (not heated) and waterfalls, nestled in tropical gardens. There is a BBQ on the lanai for your evening enjoyment as you savor the warmth and views in this spectacular setting. Hale Alana is a fully permitted vacation home situated in the residential neighborhood of Maui Meadows, JUST A 5-10 MIN drive from the beaches of South Maui, which are conidered by many the most beautiful in the world. With our year-round tropical climate you can easily take advantage of the many recreational activities that Maui has to offer: snorkeling, hiking, tennis, golf, bike riding, local and international culture and cuisine. You also have quick access to some of the island’s best hotels, restaurants, and shopping, all in the Wailea/Kihei area. Pools accessed at bottom of driveway. A legal tenant cottage, occupied by the property manager, is situated at bottom of property per Maui County Law. Garden/Pools are solely for the use of the house guests and property manager. Come enjoy a Hawaiian vacation at Hale Alana, “House of Awakening” and relax into the heart of the Valley Isle. Home accommodates 6 persons. Cleaning fee, State General Excise Tax, State and County Transient Accommodations Taxes will be added to room rate. All taxes are subject to change and additional taxes due will be collected prior to occupancy. We assume complete legal and financial responsibility for our actions and conduct while on these premises. Any consequences, whether injury, illness, or death, that come about from the use of these facilities are completely our responsibility. We agree, both as individuals, and/or as a group, not to hold legally or financially responsible, either the owner, or management, or the County of Maui and its agents, should such consequences arise from the use of the pools, hot tub, or any facilities or portions of the property. In addition, we agree to indemnify, hold harmless, release and defend the owner, management and County of Maui with respect to any and all such liabilities and claims, whether caused by theirs, ours, or anyone’s, negligence, actions, or inactions. Initials ____________________________________ We understand the pools are for the use and enjoyment of only those paying guests of Hale Alana and its use is not open to any individuals or parties who are not paying guests of Hale Alana, or any guests who have not signed this Agreement on behalf of themselves or those children in their charge. Under no circumstances will any child under the age of 13 be allowed to be around the perimeter of the pool or enter the pool without adult supervision. Such supervision shall always be in close proximity to the pool, either in the pool or within 5 feet of the perimeter of the pools. We understand that the health, welfare and safety of any and all children are completely our responsibility and not the responsibility of either the owner or management. We understand there is to be no running, horseplay or excessive noise around the pools or decks and that all guests will maintain proper decorum and consideration to any and all guests who are entitled to use the pool and grounds, and to the neighborhood in general. We also agree not to have any glass or glass breakables in or around the pool. We understand that Hale Alana is in a residential neighborhood, and that we as non-paying guests conduct ourselves in a manner appropriate to our surroundings. We agree in particular to monitor our sound level, especially on the deck and the pool area, in consideration of the neighbors. We agree to respect a Quiet Time between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. We agree to only park in the garage and driveway, and refrain from parking on the street. It is understood that any guest(s) who violates this agreement will be asked to leave the premises. Our county vacation rental permit does not allow us to use the street for parking. 4.Please turn off A/C when you leave house for extended periods. 5.Please use the outdoor shower off the garage when you come back from the beach. Shower after beach before entering house and before using the hot tub or pool. 6.We recommend that you close the blinds when you leave in the morning. This will keep the house cooler for your return. 7.Enter and exit through the garage and close the garage door when you leave. Make sure the front door is locked and the windows over the kitchen sink and the window in the bedroom off the kitchen are closed. Although burglary is rare in Maui Meadows, we recommend that you lock up when you leave. You do not have to lock the windows of the lanai. Also, please keep garage door closed, especially at night. 8.This is a non smoking house. Please smoke in the driveway. 9.Quiet time is between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Sound travels in this quiet neighborhood especially at night from the deck. Please be considerate of our neighbors. 10. Remember that the hot tub is designed to maintain its temperature, so you should not need to adjust the controls. Please let us know if we need to adjust the temperature. 11. Please be aware that any missing or damaged towels will be replaced from your damage deposit. 12. Food left out on counters will attract ants and other bugs. 13). We will call/text/email with guests throughout their stay or come up to the house if necessary to attend to any situation. This is a quiet residential neighborhood. The homes were built on poles high above the groud to afford spectacular bi-coastal views. The neighbors enjoy walking, jogging, dog walking in the morning and evening. You are 10 minutes away from all of the fine dining in Wailea, the golf courses and shopping. A car rental is necessary for Hale Alana. The home is situated at the top of a neighborhood called Maui Meadows. It is 8 minutes from the nearest beach which is Keawakapu. All the hotels and fine dining are minutes away as is shopping in Kihei or Wailea. It is essential that house guests understand that getting a permit from the County of Maui to operate as a vacation rental in a residentail neighborhood is a complicated process and those permits are very coveted. The county is very strict about occupancy, quiet hours and parking. Noise carries from the 72' deck especially at night.
