Everything is almost new and ready for you to sit and relax after a day on the lake, or a long night of races. We are just a little piece of heaven that sits atop one of the highest ridges in Marion county. We have 3 beautiful acres, just North of Knoxville, IA. We have a view of the valley, you can see part of lake Red Rock . We are close to fishing, hiking, walking, bike riding, horseback riding, Sprint car racing, Southern Iowa Speedway, Tulip Time in Pella, IA is 14 miles, 30 miles from southeast Des Moines and The Iowa State fair. Attention hunters we live within a half a mile of public duck hunting bring your boat we have room for you to park it. I do allow a tent if you are staying in the suite at n/c. For Ragbri 2024 if you rent the suite your group can have an unlimited amount of tents. We do have a tankless water heater. You can enjoy any part of our 3 acres. which includes our front porch. you are welcome to come sit and watch the sunrise or sunset or just drink a cup of coffee or a beer with us. On the other hand if you want your privacy We understand. there is an outdoor dining set in front of the suite. There is a bbq for your use and a fire pit. We ask that you bring your own charcoal and firewood. I also provide a few beach towels. We also have some outdoor and indoor games. My flower gardens are always a work in progress this year I am planting around 30 rose bushes. We love being outside in the yard or on our boat fishing. If you would want a boat ride I am sure Jeff would be glad to take you. House Rules Simple and Easy! Check in is at 3 pm Checkout is at 1 pm If there is no one checking in or out, I am very flexible. Need to drop off your luggage before check in or need to leave it after checking out no problem, we can put it out back with the Yoga Goats. They promised us they won’t eat it. Smoking is allowed but never inside. Smokey the bear had issues with this at first but he almost had an incident and decided he didn't want to burn down his home. Please smoke only outside in a designated area. If there is bad weather you are welcome to smoke on our front porch. If you pass smokey don't worry he is friendly! Please close and lock all windows and doors when you leave. We don’t want to let unfriendly wild animals in. Don’t kick my dogs, Tink or AKA Stinky the white one with pink ears and tail she only bites men in uniforms, especially the UPS guy any chance she gets. She will bark at you until you pick her up or pet her, she thinks she has to be the center of attention. The Black one is Curly he is scared usually of everyone if you try and pick him up he will spin in circles. But once you pick either of them up be careful because they will lick you any chance they get. Please let us know if they bother you. We will be outside a lot this time of year planting and tending to our roses, flowers, and yard. That means Tink and Curly are out too. Be Careful pulling in the drive or leaving. If you want to volunteer to pull weeds let us know we will always take volunteers! No Parties allowed without prior approval. If you are going to have more than four people visit or more than one extra car this is considered a party. We want to make sure extra cars don’t tear up the yard and are parked in the right area. Smokey tends to get real nervous if there are too many people. If he knows ahead of time he will go into hibernation. Jeff & Cindy Walraven Tink & Curly Walraven We sit on 3 acres on a ridge in a Berm home. We have windows on both sides. We face the south with a beautiful view of the valley and the backwaters of Red Rock. We are rural but only 4 miles to Knoxville. At night when the races are running you can see the lights on the Knoxville Speedway track. Our neighbors have beautiful horses We are lucky we get to see them without and smell! Regarding pets you can please message me I do have two small dogs under 10lbs a maltese and a yorkie poo. The pet fee is $25 dollars per pet. If you will have more then one pet please message me to get approval. Also you will be liable for any damage your pet makes. Also smoking is allowed but only outside.
