If you enjoy walking and being outdoors-you can stroll down the levee trails there one may see wildlife—deer, fox, rabbits, up in the sky across the water will be eagles soaring and red tail hawks gliding in the wind. There is a Marina Restaurant with seasonal opening hours that is walking distance from Blue Herron or rather a chip shot away if you are navigating a boat. But the best local restaurant approximately 4 miles away with never any heavy traffic to delay you is “The Fish House” in Sterlington, LA—it’s a must try and tell our partner Devon that Trey and Susan recommended the Fish House for some great food and service. With the area being rural but just minutes away from town there is no traffic. Guest are encouraged to explore the beauty in the Marina community and take walks or bring bikes to ride through the State Park that is only 100 yards away from the property.
