It is a short and easy 8 minute walk via private dirt road to Pochet Association Beach parking area and beach boardwalk. A free parking pass is provided if you would like to take your car - just a 2 minute drive, easily tote your beach gear! The gorgeous scenic boardwalk takes you onto the beautiful white sands of Nauset Beach. This section of the beach is never crowded, and only accessible to homes in the small association neighborhood. You will also enjoy easy access to the Sparrowhawk boat landing, which is 200 yards to the East and only a 2 minute walk from the house. The roads in the neighborhood are private and barely trafficked, allowing for easy walking and very safe for families with children. The kitchen is bright and fully equipped, with windows overlooking the landscaped yard. The private Pochet Association beach is an eight minute walk from the kitchen door. Counter seating and adjacent dining room offer plenty of seating for large groups to dine together. Next to the dining room is the sunroom, or "window den." This room is an exquisite remote work location - you can close the doors and sit at the desk if needed, or an area to gather for afternoon snacks and drinks. The South facing side door opens to a small deck overlooking the natural front yard. The North facing door puts you on the custom circular natural stone patio with outdoor seating and natural gas grill. New outdoor dining table to be added summer 2021. The luxurious first floor primary suite is spacious and well-appointed. Lounge on the futon with a book, enjoy a cup of morning coffee on the private deck. Skylights and large windows offer glorious natural light and a wonderful cross breeze. The primary suite also has its own separate AC zone, radiant heat flooring and 3/4 bath. A private door opens onto the side deck for easy access to the fully enclosed outdoor shower. There are two large, sunny bedrooms and a full bathroom with tub/shower and bidet on the second floor. The East facing bedroom features a queen bed and trundle bed (sleeps 2), and has its own mini-split AC unit. The West facing bedroom has a full bed and two twins, and its own mini-split AC. Each bedroom has a great cross breeze as well. With the inlet landing 200 yards to the South and the ocean 500 yards to the East, there is generally a breeze more pleasant than anything that an AC unit can produce. A note from one of our 2020 guests: “One of the best things about that house, especially during the Pandemic, is the Association and private beach. Even on Friday, we saw that Nauset Beach was packed, but there was hardly anyone on the stretch of beach for the Association.
