The space This home was built in 1851 and is in excellent condition. Hardwood floors have been recently redone, marble tile in bathroom and the antique tub has been refinished and lots of hot water for shower. The space is open with lots of windows and light. 6 blocks to Commander's Palace & Lafayette Cemetery, 4 blocks to Ann Rice's former mansion on 1st St, all-nite Street Car runs to French Quarter or Uptown University area. Guest access The suite is not shared space and is an entire 700 square foot apartment on the 2d floor. So the whole apartment is for the guest booking this space. There is common entrance door and hallway to "The Mansion" and the rooms. There is a push button lock to open the front door and your key opens the bottom knob if it is locked. Apartment is private and a key is provided. Also a lovely shared front porch on first floor with swing and seating for guests Just no smoking in rooms During your stay I live downstairs and I am available for questions about the area, etc. Other things to note The street car stop is right in front of the house and it runs all night.
