Top floor 2nd story condo at Kepuhi Beach Resort on the West Shore of the island of Molokai. Vaulted 25’ tall ceilings for a really expansive feel. Corner unit, open on both sides, for a panoramic view and wide open experience…….Water views and crashing surf in one direction, palm trees in the other! Completely remodeled and freshly outfitted. Lanai is good sized, about 8x14, and has fantastic views of Kaiaka Rock, ocean surf, sunsets and Diamondhead, and occasionally at night the lights of Honolulu twinkling in the distance. Fully equipped kitchen with island for morning coffee or computer work, USB outlet for handy charging, several ways of making coffee, full size fridge, toaster, microwave and Nutribullet blender for smoothies (or tropical drinks! ) King size bed, counter height bistro table on lanai, and also a round retro style low table and chairs. Folding LaFuma lounge chair / recliner, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella. 40” Sony SmartTV, Marley Bluetooth speaker, fast reliable wireless for when you need to be plugged in. Sink vanity is 48” wide, has 4 large drawers of storage and is separate from bathroom / shower room. Jalousie shuttered windows open easily and allow the trade winds to do their cooling magic. Breathtaking panoramic water views…..very close to the ocean, you will see and hear the waves. Sunsets, stars, wide open private beaches and the milky way like you have never experienced! You will have complete access to the condo unit, Lanai, wireless internet, oceanfront pool, BBQ grill, free parking, inexpensive washer/dryer, and other resort amenities. Key lock box at the front door contains one set of keys for doorknob and deadbolt. Two sets of keys are in the unit for your use during your stay. We live in Seattle, so won't be able to meet you personally, but are available at any time by phone, text or email, or through Airbnb, and we also have a wonderful on island representative should anything be needed. Upon booking, feel free to email and we can send a Guidebook pdf containing more local information, resources and suggestions about the the resort, beaches, hikes, restaurants, and things we hope you might appreciate exploring while on Molokai. Kepuhi Beach Resort, also known over time as Kaluakoi Villas, or West Molokai Resort, lies on the west end of Molokai, and were built originally as part of the Sheraton Kaluakoi Villas Resort and Golf Course, which is now closed and seems to be returning to nature! The West coast of Molokai has wide open savannah spaces, trails for hiking and biking, and wonderful, wild, private beaches, with long stretches of sand and surf, and hardly any company! Nearby Papohaku beach is 3 miles long of lovely sand, and it is likely you will be alone. Not all beaches are ideal for swimming at all times, but there are several nearby that are generally protected and accessible. Forested high altitude cloud forest, nature preserves, sea cliffs, historical points of interest. Mountain biking, surfing, fishing, snorking, whale watching, rodeo, the mule ride down the cliffs to the Kalaupapa peninsula, and the Molokai Hoe canoe race to Honolulu. Saturday Farmers Market in Kuanakakai. Organic produce and grass fed organic beef. Dramatic beaches and Sunsets are found here on the west end. You are most likely arriving to Molokai from Maui, or Oahu, by Makani Kai or Mokulele Airlines. Alamo has a rental office at the airport. Hele Mai Island Taxi is available, and a local MEO bus service does run daily but not very often. Molokai Bike can provide bikes for rent as well. Molokai, the Friendly Island, 5th largest of the Hawaiian Islands, and birthplace to the hula, is said to be the most authentically Hawaiian island. Certainly the most relaxed and natural and undeveloped. It is a remarkable change of pace and we know you will appreciate the difference. Friendly people, incredible outdoor spaces, forests, trails, cliffs, nature preserves, wildlife, and beaches. Organic produce and meats. A terrific place for being active and outdoors, for eating great fresh food, and for being alone, or perhaps being alone with someone!
