Home to the world’s largest cypress mill, closing in 1929 (visit Patterson’s Wedell Williams Aviation/Cypress Sawmill State Museum for more history). Also, home of the “Atchafalaya at Idlewild” golf course and the famous Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival. Located on the first floor, the main living area is extremely spacious and inviting. This building showcases the most detailed commercial architecture of our city. Situated in the center of the downtown Historic District (building is listed on National Historic Registry). Adjacent to the newly renovated Morey Park. Totally restored to new condition, with emphasis placed on the many historic features. Newly renovated patio adjacent to the building. Guest access Parking available along the side and behind the building. Extra parking at the public parking lot across the street. Other things to note Absolutely no pets. Absolutely no smoking. Not available for any parties/event rentals. Any special occasion/wedding weekend stays (where a photographer, family/friends gather) requires a $100.00 additional fee upon arrival. Renter is responsible for it's guest and any damage to the property by their guests. EARLY and LATE check-in/out fee of $50 each and we request a 24-hour notice, subject to availability
