Description
This is a converted 160 sq ft red barn shed with a covered front porch overlooking the beautiful grounds of St. Charles College. There is a Murphy Queen-sized bed, shower, antique sink, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Walls, bed frame and trim are crafted from palette wood, creating a crafted rustic look. We are within walking distance to restaurants and gift shops. It’s tucked in a historic, beautiful peaceful place where you can rest your mind and refresh your soul. The space Located next door to the owners house, you can enjoy your morning coffee on the tin roofed front porch. The view is of the Retreat grounds with ancient oak trees. There is a fire pit with anwrought iron table and chairs. Peggy Martin roses trail a fence (also known as the Katrina Rose, because of its remarkable survival under 20 feet of salt water!) We are located in historic Grand Coteau and host several festivals and events, including the Sweet Dough Festival (late October), the Grand Noel festival in Nov and the Exit 11 Yard sale. The Sunset Herb festival in May is a must see! Nearby are 2 restaurants (Brent’s and the Hive) and Bee Sweet bakery (who provides the BnB treats). The Kitchen Shop and Petite Rouge are places to visit all of which are within walking distance. Guest access Access to Mama Sue’s Guesthouse has a locked key box with a provided code so you can come in as late as you want. Other things to note I made up a binder of restaurants, stores and and all nearby attractions; Including our famous festivals!
