Located in a friendly, diverse neighborhood, you will feel less like a tourist and more like a local - away from the crowds and traffic but with close and easy access to all that the Jersey Shore has to offer! You will have the entire home to yourself. When you enter the cottage there is a bonus front room/office with a single bed and a desk and chair. Next is the living room with a couch, television (HDMI lines to connect your laptop, but NO CABLE SERVICE) and DVD player (Redbox is 3-4 blocks away), then your basic eat-in kitchen followed by a small master bedroom suite (bathroom and shower stall) with a double bed. It is a simple, cozy/small, cute and whimsical space that is perfect for two adults but could accommodate a couple with a young child. - There are two A/C window units which are plenty to keep things cool. - Two bicycles are available for your use, as well as a propane grill and outdoor table with umbrella. - We are a very green family. As such, we recycle and ask that you do, too! :-) - No groups or parties allowed. - FEE DISCLOSURE: Neptune Township charges property owners $100 per booking. I have added this to my cleaning fee as there is no other place to include the fee through the app. The cleaners charge $100. We're located in a safe residential neighborhood on a block where people all know and look out for each other. My neighbors are helpful, friendly and respectful. Because the lots are small, there may be sounds of socializing coming from other yards, and there will definitely be the sound of the train, which is only two blocks away. If you are looking for a very quiet getaway with only the sound of the ocean waves in the distance, this is probably not the right area of the Jersey Shore for you. But if you enjoy traveling like a local and want a very centrally located launch pad for exploring and experiencing the shore, The cottage is the place for you! Located in the up-and-coming Bradley Park section of Neptune Township (not Neptune City! I'm not sure why it comes up like that on the listing as NC is the next town over), the cottage is a few short blocks away from great restaurants and breweries. The Grand Tavern, Il Posto Restaurant, and Little Dog Brewery are all right around the corner, while a 5-minute walk just over the tracks brings you to Main Street in Bradley Beach where you'll find another brewery, numerous restaurants and cafes, plenty of shopping, laundromat, bowling alley, 24-hour gym, and the newly renovated Showroom Theater with first run movies. Walk or bike 8 blocks east to the boardwalk and ocean! Bike or ride-share over to world-famous Asbury Park and it's extremely popular Cookman Ave where you'll find art, antiques, music, pubs, dancing, dining, and shopping to your heart's content! Don't miss historic Ocean Grove with it's unique "Tent City" that's been popping up every summer since 1869 and The Great Auditorium - music and performance venue that seats over 6000. Heading south, just over the bridge (one stop on the train, practically door-to-door!), is Belmar Marina on the Shark River Bay and Inlet where you'll find numerous water activities available for your enjoyment - SUP, canoeing, kayaking, boating, parasailing, jet ski rentals, scuba diving, fishing tours, and small local beaches for those who prefer calmer seas. Walk the promenade to the pier for food, drinks, music, and incredible sunset views over the Shark River Bay. The cottage is the perfect spot for equal access to all that this area has to offer!
