Description
Absolutely stunning oceanfront home right on Waialea Bay/Beach 69--one of the more popular white, sand beaches on the The Big Island's Kohala coast. Many recent upgrades give the house a modern look while maintaining its traditional, beach house charm. There's plenty of room to bring the whole family together for fun in the sun and amazing ocean adventures! The space This much loved, family home is ideally located on one of the few natural, white sand beaches on the Big Island. The house was built in 1993, but the land has been in the family for over 90 years and provides a rare opportunity to experience Hawai'i as it once was while still enjoying the luxuries of modern life. The house measures 2,400 sq ft and offers 4 large bedrooms each with its own ensuite bathroom, view and lanai access. A sprawling lawn leads directly out onto the beach. This is an ideal vacation spot for an extended family or group of friends. The beautifully landscaped 20,000 square foot lot offers lava rock walls for privacy and many, mature plumeria trees for lei-making. Each bedroom in the main house has its own full-bath, ocean view and lanai access. The Ohana (Guest) House also has its own full bathroom as well as a living and dining area. Waialea Bay Beach is a marine sanctuary and is abundant with underwater sea life. This is one of the few white sand beaches on Hawaii island and it offers both sun and shade trees. Many local families come here with their children. The spring-fall months are mostly calm and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding. The ocean bottom drops off gradually and reaches depths of around 30 feet (9 m) just outside of the bay. Below the surface, you’ll find several coral colonies around large underwater rocks. Lots of colorful fish live in the area. The water is less friendly in the winter and since there are no lifeguards on duty, it may be best to stay on the shore and watch the waves. When the surf is up, surfers and bodyboarders are drawn to a surf break at the northern point of the bay. Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to the main house, guest house and grounds with private gated entry, expansive lawn and direct, beachfront access Other things to note Transient Accommodations# TA-015-222-7840-01 STVR-19-366286 NUC-19-1899 Starting January 1, 2026, Hawaii's Transient Accommodations Tax (TAT) will increase from 10.25% to 11%.
