Stunning Flathead River frontage near Glacier Park with one of the best views in the valley. Wake up to a sparkling river view while enjoying coffee on the patio with organic produce from our yard. Take a walk or quick bike ride to downtown Columbia Falls to enjoy the farmers market, coffee or dinner after a day exploring nearby Glacier Park. Hike down the trail for fly fishing or a swim. We have been all over the world but love coming home, and we want to share it with you! The space Conveniently located minutes from the resort town of Whitefish, 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Glacier Park, our home is in the small town of Columbia Falls on the Flathead River, renowned for its fly fishing. The apartment is a separate mother-in-law unit with a private entrance. Our family lives upstairs, and we want to respect your peace and privacy, but occasionally you may hear little feet running above you. We welcome noisy families! We have a large trampoline kids can use while visiting. Please be aware the river varies considerably in risk during the year. We have a trail you may hike down through the forest to the river. Mid- late summer it is low and safe for swimming, however it is a wild area, so common sense should be practiced. There is a firepit near the river as well as a portable fire pit on the patio that can be placed in the yard (depending on fire restrictions). Our puppy, Oslo, is friendly and loves people. He has his own yard so he shouldn’t be in your space, but you may hear him bark occasionally during the day. We want to share our love of this place with you and are happy to answer your questions and receive feedback. Guest access Flathead River, firepits, fruit trees, trampoline and more (at your own risk). There is a washer and dryer and full kitchen in the unit with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Each bedroom has an antique dresser and closet for our guests' clothes and luggage storage. We have a portacrib and queen air mattress available too. Other things to note We live on a wildlife corridor. Mountain lions, bears and other animals occasionally frequent the property. Please be mindful of these visitors. The river trail passes through this area. The Flathead is a wild river, so prudence and caution is suggested. There is also an electric fence around our beehive at the top of one of the trail entrances. Please be aware and avoid a shock or sting!
