Prime location in Arlington, easy to explore nearby Boston and Cambridge, with a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, smaller crowds and very safe. The space Basement Studio | Renovated Space | High speed internet | W/D | No Pets Sleeping arrangement: 4 guests max -One (1) Queen bed -One (1) Pull out sofa bed almost queen size (56in x 78in) (Optimal for 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 kids. 4 Adults may feel this space too tight) Kitchen Area: Full size fridge, portable induction hotplate (not seen in the pics because it was stored in the cabinets), microwave, utensils, silverware, dining ware, coffee maker (works with ground coffee, no paper filters needed), electric kettle, toaster, etc. -Note: We do not provide: Salt, pepper, coffee, condiments and spices. Amenities: One (1) 50 inch 4k Smart TV, desk, dining table, soft lighting, high speed internet for work video conferences, streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney plus. -Note: We do not provide TV cable service. Home Essentials: Mini-split Heating/AC unit, washer/dryer, clothes steamer, towels/linens, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries (Body wash, shampoo, conditioner), toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, hand soap, kitchen towels. -Note: The Washer and dyer are outside the unit and shared with another unit. We do not provide laundry detergent. Do not use them after 9pm. Parking: -One (1) assigned off-street parking. However, You MUST be a good driver and reverse parking should be your best skill :) . This parking space is at the end of a long driveway, where you would need to do a sharp turn. And you may have other cars parked on the side. (Photo attached) -No overnight street parking. Street parking is only available until 11pm. Security: Three (3) security cameras around the perimeter of the house. Front, driveway and back. The Neighborhood: Arlington has plenty of hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Start with exploring Mass Ave, lined with shops, bakeries (Quebrada, Butternut, Tatte), Coffee Shops (Barisimo, Cafe Nero, Starbucks), restaurants (Toraya, La Victoria, Menotomy Grill, Zhu Vegan, Thrive Juice, Punjab, WooRi Korean, etc) or enjoy The Capitol Theater. Visit the historic Menotomy Rocks park or take a picnic at Spy Pond. For Kids, the 2 closest playground/parks (a block away) are Crosby Park and North Union Park. Don't miss out visiting Fox library, full of toys, kids books, kids activities, etc. And it’s steps away from the house! The closest Grocery shop is “Stop and Shop”, 10 min away walking/ 2 min driving. Closest pharmacy is CVS, at a walking distance. Getting Around: Bus 77: Comes every 10 min and takes you to Cambridge in 10 minutes and Harvard Square in 15 minutes. Bus 87: Takes you to Somerville, Cambridge, MIT. Subway (Red Line): Alewife Station is 4 min away by car, Porter Station is 10 min away by bus. Both stations take you to Boston downtown, or MIT in 30 minutes aprox. Best way to commute to Boston for a family? Park your car in Alewife station and take the subway. Drive/Uber: 10 min: Cambridge, Harvard, Somerville 20-25 min: MIT, Boston Downtown, Brookline, TD Garden, etc 40 min: Salem Biking/Jogging/Walking: The Minuteman Bikeway is very close by and it is a fantastic path for cycling, walking or jogging. It’s flat, scenic and historical. Start at Alewife Station in Cambridge and make your way to Bedford, passing through Arlington and Lexington along the way. Pack some snacks and enjoy the ride! Other things to note [Important] House Rules Guests MUST comply : - Primary renter must be at least 25 years old - This is a multi family home. Respect the other families and their sleep - No smoking inside or around the premises. (Guest and visitors MUST comply) - No parties or reunions, no glitter or anything that will make our space dirty. - No loud sounds, music,TV - No EV Charging. Do not extend a power cord from inside the house. - Quiet hours: 9PM to 7AM Sound Insulation: This is a basement studio. You will hear steps from the 1st floor because New England house structures are old and sound travels easily. We have added thick sound insulation in all walls and ceiling to reduce that as much as possible, as a result, 95% of guests are not bothered by the sound. However, you will still hear steps. This is not a bunker. Change of dates Policy: Once the full refund cancellation window has closed, guests may add dates to their reservation but cannot shorten their stay or change the check-in date. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to secure a full refund if travel plans change after the cancellation policy has taken effect.
