The space Welcome to The Perrault House – a refined Southern retreat blending historic charm with modern luxury. Home Features & Amenities: • Central air conditioning and heating, plus ceiling fans. • Traditional screen porch with rocking chairs, swing bed, and outdoor dining area. • Professionally maintained saltwater pool (cleaned twice weekly). • Laundry area with washer, dryer, ironing board, and iron. • Custom handmade cypress beds dressed with fine linens, towels, and spa robes. • Complimentary locally roasted coffee and bottled water. • Luxury toiletries, hair dryers, and additional spa robes. • Entertainment for all ages: library, board games, basketball (with goals), football, soccer ball, hula hoops, and frisbees. • Technology includes: Wi-Fi, DVD player (with over 100 DVDs), Spotify, Netflix, and ROKU. • Secure gated parking for up to five vehicles. • Four televisions: 20” in the kitchen, 40” behind the kitchen, 65” Frame TV in the living room, and 50” upstairs near the bedrooms. Bedrooms & Bathrooms: • First Floor:• Bedroom 1: Private bath. • Bedroom 2: Separate bath and shower. • Bedroom 3: Private shower. • Second Floor:• Two bedrooms, each with two full-size beds. • Shared bathroom with antique clawfoot tub (no shower). Please note: The second floor is accessed by an 18-step staircase. Guests with mobility limitations should not attempt to use these stairs. The home does not include an elevator or wheelchair ramp. Pool Safety Guidelines: • Pool access is limited to registered guests only. • No diving permitted in shallow areas—enter feet-first to avoid serious injury. • Children must be actively supervised by a parent who can swim. No lifeguard is on duty. Swim at your own risk. House Etiquette & Care: • Originally a pecan plantation, The Perrault House has been lovingly updated for luxurious family living. Kindly remove shoes at the door. • Premium linens provided: Pottery Barn (1,000 ct. upstairs), Matouk and Frete (downstairs). • Disposable cosmetic wipes are provided—please discard in the wastebasket. • Do not move furniture or decor. • Property is photographed before every guest arrival to document condition. Any damage to porch decking, screening, or floors caused by dragging furniture or flower pots will be subject to repair charges. • Keep doors and windows shut—Louisiana’s native wildlife includes snakes that can climb walls and steps. • Remove all food from dinnerware before loading the dishwasher. Hand-wash dishes first; the dishwasher is for sanitizing only. • Do not place utensils into the sink with the garbage disposal—previous plumbing repairs have resulted from blocked spoons. This is not additional rent — it is a fine. In addition, reservations may be cancelled without a refund resulting in a permanent block from future stays. We strictly enforce all house rules. Guest access Check-in & Access: • Effortless self check-in via secure keypad entry. • Enjoy full, private access to the entire home throughout your stay. • The gated backyard features a long driveway with parking for up to five vehicles. Other things to note House Guidelines • The home is decorated for most holidays. • Security cameras monitor the driveway and back door for safety. • All guests are counted upon entry to ensure compliance with reservation limits. • Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. • Pets are not permitted on the premises. • All house rules are actively enforced. •Children are counted as guests. Infants are not counted as guests. There is a limit of two infants during each stay. • Reservations with 11 or more guests will be reported to Airbnb and immediately canceled without refund.
