The Perrault House is a fully furnished, five bedrooms, four bathrooms, 3,967sqft home located in Natchitoches just one mile from Front Street and Northwestern State University. Built in 1911, the former plantation has been renovated, and its saltwater pool, brick smoker, full kitchen, huge porch with rocking chairs, and beautiful decor make it perfect for guests prioritizing luxury, comfort, convenience, and privacy during their stay in Natchitoches. We book at Airbnb online, only. If you are traveling with fewer than ten guests or are a repeat guest, please ask for a discount prior to booking. If you exceed the number of allowed registered guests you will be blocked from future stays, and your reservation may be canceled without a refund. In addition, you may be fined for each additional guest per night in an amount that may exceed the total nightly rate. We strictly enforce our house rules. Central AC/Heat & ceiling fans. The Perrault House has four TVs: 20" located inside the Kitchen, 40" located behind the kitchen, 65” Frame TV located in the living room, and 50” located on 2nd floor outside the two upstairs bedrooms. The first floor has three bedrooms each with its own private bathroom. Bedroom #1 includes a bath, only. Bedroom #2 includes a separate shower and a bath. And, Bedroom #3 includes a private shower, only. The second floor has two bedrooms each containing two full-size beds. Both bedrooms share one bathroom with an antique clawfoot tub, but no shower. Guests utilizing the second floor will be required to climb stairs. There are 18 stairs. Anyone with mobility problems should NOT attempt to climb the stairs. The home does not have an elevator, nor is the home equipped with a wheelchair ramp. The salt water pool is professionally cleaned twice weekly. Only registered guests are allowed to use the swimming pool. No diving in shallow water due to the risk of head, neck and spinal injuries. Only enter feet first in shallow water. Minors must have parent who can swim in the pool with them at all times. There is no lifeguard on duty, and guests swim at their own risk. Guests accept full responsibility of protecting and monitoring their children. The Perrault House is a former pecan plantation. It has been updated over the years for comfortable family living. We kindly ask that you respect the home by removing your shoes at the door. Our bed and bath linens are Pottery Barn 1,000 ct. (upstairs), Matouk (downstairs), and Frete (downstairs). We provide disposable cosmetic wipes. Please place used wipes in waste basket. We kindly ask that you do not move furniture, nor furnishings. Prior to guests arrival we photograph the property. When the porch decking, hardwood floors, or porch screening is damaged we photograph the damage and immediately request repair work. If you drag flower pots, outdoor furniture across the porch decking, or damage the porch screening you will be charged for the actual costs of repairing the damages. Keep doors and windows shut as this is Louisiana and snakes do enter homes. (Yes, snakes can climb steps and walls.) Please remove food from dinnerware prior to loading the dishwasher. Dishes should be hand washed and the dishwasher should be used to sanitize dishes, only. Do not put utensils in the side of the sink with the garbage disposal as we have had to call a plumber twice to remove spoons from the garbage disposal. This house is a treasure, please treat it with respect, so that we can continue to offer luxury stays to all of our future guests. Self check-in with keypad. You will have exclusive access to the entire house. While the city does not allow street parking, the gated backyard has a long driveway that can accommodate up to five cars. The Perrault House strictly limits the number of registered paying guests to ten, with no exceptions to this rule. All guests staying at The Perrault House must register online on Airbnb prior to their arrival and link their reservation accordingly. The Perrault House is located on a tranquil avenue in a conveniently situated neighborhood. We have many elderly neighbors, so we kindly request that you refrain from making loud noises that may disturb their peace and privacy. Airbnb and The Perrault House never allow parties or gatherings. We greatly appreciate your consideration in this matter. The majority of residents and visitors use automobiles for transportation, while there are ample sidewalks available for those who prefer to walk. These sidewalks provide easy access to downtown shopping, restaurants, and festivals.
