Our cabin is made for relaxing! When you wake up in the morning be sure to bring your coffee out to the front deck and sit down and just gaze out to the lake and unwind. Think about what you may want to do and plan your approach. Remember you are here to relax!! Cozy log cabin nestled into a hillside with wonderful view of the lake (Cranberry Pond). Located in the Berkshire Mountains of southwestern Massachusetts the cabin comfortably sleeps 6 people in 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. ( If you want to have 8 people in your party we also have a sleeper sofa with a queen bed foldout that is located in the living room). Our grand children love sleeping on it! There is a full kitchen complete with all utensils, dishes, glasses, a microwave and coffee maker. There is a full bathroom on the first floor and a half bath located in the basement. We have added an enclosed "outside shower" with hot and cold water with enough room for changing if you wish. (It is great for rinsing off after a day at the beach or for a "starlit evening shower"). The cabin features a lovely covered deck equipped with Adirondack chairs, a gas grill and a dining table all of which overlook Cranberry Pond. Great for enjoying outside dining with beautiful sunsets. The cabin also has free WIFI and free Netflix access. The cabin is a one minute walk from the beach area. The beach has a men's and a women's restroom facility on site and is bordered by the boat and kayak storage areas. The cabin rental includes unlimited use of a row boat, a kayak and an inflatable paddle board(specific information will be provided for the use of each watercraft). "Please note"...The Wildwood Association does not allow any outside boats to be brought in to the complex for use in the two lakes. The Association works very hard in keeping the lakes weed free and by limiting the boats brought in they have kept the lakes in fantastic shape. Cranberry Pond is great for fishing (Bass, crappies, bluegills, sunfish, pickerel, and bullheads are plentiful). There is a second pond called Otter pond that is located about a ten minute walk from the cabin. This pond is stocked every year with trout and has a small intimate beach and also has a men's and women's bath house. A good place for the kids to go looking for frogs and salamanders. The Wildwood complex is a secure community and has outdoor tennis courts, a shuffle board area, a swing set area and 2 basketball hoops all located near the community clubhouse. The clubhouse is located across the lake and is about a 15-20 minute walk from the cabin (5 minute drive). There is free WiFi access for guests in the cabin and at the clubhouse. There are hiking trails throughout the Wildwood complex and the Berkshires and information and maps are provided at the cabin. Most of our interaction with our guests is done through AIRBNB and phone calls when needed. We leave phone numbers and emails at the cabin where we can be reached 24/7 if there are any questions or concerns during your stay. One of the nice things about having a cabin in the Wildwood complex is that it is a very secure area. They have security personnel that are constantly driving about the complex and it is a very quiet, peaceful place where relaxing is easy!!!
