Quiet neighborhood on Lewis Bay. Walk 1/4 mile to two small beaches at the end of street. 2 kayaks with dollies to wheel down to beach, 5 bikes! Back patio, grill, outdoor shower. Sea Gull Beach 1.5 miles away down quiet back roads. No pets. Clean, cozy cottage stocked with books, board games, and maps. Shady back patio perfect for grilling and relaxing after a day at the beach. Perfect for families with young children! We know what it's like to travel with kids - we have a 4-month old and a two-year-old ourselves. The house has a toddler bed, pack n' play, stroller, and baby tub available for your use. Bed sheets, towels, kitchen towels, and beach towels provided. Please wash and dry in and leave folded at the end of each bed before our late check-out (noon) so next guests know they're clean. Please replace toilet paper / soap if last to use. Driveway fits three cars comfortably. Please DO NOT park on grass or in street. Message me via Airbnb or text. This hidden nook is a great neighborhood for kids! At low tide, you can walk down the beach all the way down to the river. Safe, quiet, easy to wheel the kayaks down to the beach or go for a family bike ride. Besides the two small beaches in the neighborhood, you can get to Seagull Beach--bigger, with snack bar and bathrooms--without having to drive on rt. 28. It's also a beautiful bike ride! For some nightlife, drive 15 minutes to the British Beer Company (known locally as the BBC), a classy bar in Hyannis, to hear live music and sample from dozens of craft beers. For breakfast go to Ann and Fran's, our favorite diner, a mile away. Walk or bike to the beaches on Lewis Bay or drive to the oceanside beaches on the Outer Cape. Lighthouse Beach in Chatham is one of our favorites. It's right by Monomy Wildlife Refuge, so you can spend the day at the beach, then hike around the Monomoy Island trail. Stop at Land Ho! restaurant & pub on the way home for a lobster roll and a Cape Cod Red. Make sure to fit in a day trip to Martha's Vineyard--the ferry's just 10 minutes away in Hyannis Harbor. Bring the bikes! Driving on rt. 28 can be rough with summer traffic, which is why we love this neighborhood. You can get to three beaches, breakfast, Penguin Ice Cream, and Luke's Liquors all within 5 minutes via backroads. The house has: - attic fan (open all windows and turn on when it's cool in the evening, and it will circulate the cool air through the house) - window AC units - cozy gas fireplace - coffee maker & Keurig - crock pot - blender - griddle - pots and pans - George Foreman panini maker - general kitchen supplies and spices - outdoor gas grill
